  • finally someone does it right, i dont know who likes this look, but at least they did it without destroying the tires inner liner

  • just wait until you hit a pot hole and stratch the lip of rim..

  • Guess yall never read the maximum width those tires can stretch on wheels.... So unsafe

  • Why

  • Is this safe like what if it rips when you hit 70 in the freeway cuz I want to do this looks good but I won't do it if it's not safe

  • the cheetah bead seater, powerful device. will FLY if not held

  • the rim edge is a bit too errr, chunky.

what was the high pressure device that blew it on the bead with a whoosh?

  • Where can i get a set of rims like that ones

  • All about the Euro look

  • @lithyy i take it your driving a VW ? ;)

  • If you dont understand the reason for doing this you must drive a honda.

  • no way in hell this is safe for driving

  • @technosasquatch yeah it is......its even safer in some cases.....go read up on it

  • with not buy some 315 tires instead of stretching 215s and getting them ugly as fuck

  • @beluga420 u dont like the stretch look?

  • @albojet01 nobody does. just the yeahdudebroman hella flush fags like it.

  • @codynieman a neat tyre stretch looks sik

  • thats the hardcore way to stretch a tire

  • should look good but cant help thinkin it looks dangerous

  • 10" wide rim with 215's... what the fuck... My 10" wide rim has a 285 on it. I don't understand tire stretching, unless you just have a slow piece anyways.

  • @UOYtaLOL Really popular with the VW crowd around here. Allows the wheel to stick out further without rubbing issues. Im a Ford guy so I dont understand it either, but it looks pretty good on the right car.

  • America... you have your "big rim" style which looks gash, us Europeans will stick to our style which we like... deal with it (:

  • i dont really understand the point of this... but whatever..

i have 10 1/2" rims on the back of m car, and guess what, i also have 275 tires on the back...

looks good, and the sidewalls arent stressed more than they should be..

  • @dwnrety1 google euro style and you should understand... here in europe, the top of the tyre cannot stick out of the arches (something you folk in America dont have to abide by)... Stretching tyres means you can drop the car on its arse, with wide rims and keeping the tyres under the arches ;)

  • @jamesjamz Thanks man, I wondered about that.It does have an interesting look to it, but I figured there must be some reason people were doing it.Can you install fender flares on your arches if you want wide tires?

  • @heliarche you can do, but they don't look good... much easier to stretch the tyre so it all fits in the arch.... Euro style is all about being smooth.

  • @jamesjamz I understand now.You don't want big plastic shit bolted to the sides of your car.I agree totally.Ruins the lines on alot of cars.

  • buy tires that fit?

  • Say it's a 225/40/18 stretched on a 10" wide rim, why not go with a 255/35/18 ?

  • stretching has been around since the 70s its big in japan for asthetic purposes and it also means you can buy cheaper smaller tyres and still get it on your wicked wide rims among many other reasons i love it its pretty ingenious and looks phat on a decent drift car or oldschool 80s jap car and german sedans

  • orrrr just buy the right size tire...isnt that why the come in more than 1 size?

  • yeah id like to know the purpose of this? drifting? or just visual aesthetic?

  • @noxabellus I'm not sure, but I hope this ugly ass lookin' crap doesn't become a trend..lol

  • i dont really like the stetched look..

if your going to have big rims get big tires..

i have 275/40/R18s on the back of my car on 18X9.5" rims

no stretching and it looks nice.

  • 225/35 its better:)

  • Tire in america, Tyre in UK , what is the purpose of this tyre stretching? i think it looks dumb to be honest.

  • is tire, not tyre

  • Why Why?

  • those filling tanks are amazing to use, they save so much time

  • Love that rim!

  • seen a 195/50 on a 15x10 ssr longchamps...mean

  • Do you keep the recommended pressure in the tires or much higher to keep them streched out?

  • Does anyone no if that is road legal in the UK? Thanks dan

  • thease tires safe to do every day driving on

  • lol I have to do this sh** every day by myself. Hate busting tires for a living . . . I have to say the worst one I've done was a load range E 10 ply 31x10.5 on a 12 inch rim. 41's are fun if you don't have anyone to help, just be sure to spit on it first and call it dirty names and it'll do what you tell it to.

  • boggers are gay

  • @eurotrashproduction No son, ricers are gay.

  • props to whoever came up with that idea...i would have never thought possible

  • there madly stretched, those bead cheaters are spot on

  • Hella fcking flush! Lol

  • isnt the whole concept on stretching tires to eliminate tire flex? i mean thats the only reason i see behind it, that and fitting the big wheels under your fenders without rubbing

  • im curiouse

how durable is a tire streatched like that?

  • what is the advantage to streching tyres? why not just run wider tyres?

  • @Talas36 less expensive for a narrower tire, can let you run bigger wheels on your car without as much trouble with rubbing and make the sidewalls not flex as much cuz they're already flexed

  • uuummm quality tyre there lol

  • air cannon?

  • hella flush yO

  • can anyone really explane the reasoning behind this?????????

  • smaller tyres are cheaper. bigger tyres are expensive.

also, tell me what looks better !

  • @MegaCamshaft style points noob

  • @MegaCamshaft hellaflushhh, vip, drift

    youtube it and learn something

  • @MegaCamshaft change the stance on your car

  • @MegaCamshaft Exactly, they look crap and are down right dangerous. Besides, why go to all the trouble of tuning a car and then stick skinny tyres on it so it handles like a dog?

  • @MegaCamshaft The only purpose of stretching tires this much is to look cool and fit huge wheels under a car that cant fit proper tire sizes.

CAUTION: THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR DAILY DRIVING!

ONLY CAR SHOWS! Or drifting cause they scratch their rims to death anyway....

  • @LmNutZ Drifting on stretched tires? UMAD?!

  • @lbennyn yeah stretched tyres are used to drift!

  • @MegaCamshaft It's a Volkswagen thing.. You wouldn't understand

  • Comment removed

  • @MegaCamshaft there too cheap to buy a 265/40 ??

  • @MegaCamshaft there too cheap to buy a 265/40 ?? good luck when you go around a corner sharp and the bead lets go.

  • @MegaCamshaft

just vanity, tyres look cool when the side wall is angled slightly out towards centre, this is a bit far though, generally it improves things but the sides on this may rupture.

  • @MegaCamshaft if your tyres are rubbing on the arches cause the wheels are a bit wide for the car strechin smaller tyres on the rims should sort out the problem.. not sure if that is why they are doing it but thats what i did.

  • ive fitted 175/50r13 tyres on a 7.5" wheel

  • wow this looks so awesome, i will get used to driving on 19s first. like sum1 said, id hit the first curb i saw.

  • yeah stretch tyres are mainly for looks becuaes they are the coolest looking thing ever

but 1 purposes for stretching tyres is less side wall flex under stress

  • Ive never heard of tire stretching what advantages do you get from a stretched tire? It does look kindof cool though.

  • german TÜV didn't want to let me put 175/50r15 tires on 6.5x15 rims.

  • That tyre isn't exactly 'on there' is it. The whole thing with stretching tyres over wide wheels started in Europe. The reason was that the tread had to be covered by the wheels arch. This made fitting wide wheels difficult especially as wide arch kits were out of fashion. The solution was to bend the rules. Wide wheels with narrow tyres pulled over them. It has all got bit extreme now and some people seem to have lost the plot with it.

  • sigh i miss running on 235 on a 17x9 not rubbing.. but then again, i don't miss uneven tread.

  • yeah lots of modified VW carrado owners use stretched tires to fill that kind of wide arch.looks well on most BMWs too. looks well really on any car with a pretruding arch.

  • stupid fuckers think we stretch tires because we're cheap its pissing me off they should learn about it before commenting

  • LOL looks like some one was too cheep to buy wide enuf tires

  • people run stretched tires for style and many other reasons. not just because they're cheap..lol

  • oh my word....BEAUTIFULL!

  • Is that illegal in the USA? Does that improve performance handling. Why not just use a tire for a ten inch wheel? Just curious-

  • @PalomarWater: Shortest explanation I can give is that you should google images of cars with stretched tires or you can even google 'hellaflush'. Nuff said.

  • love it looks sick what the offset on those bad boys

  • damn people every place that sells big truck tires has one of these we use it to mount truck tires called the cannon it just sends a large burst of air in the tire at once

  • Gotta love the compressed air box (that's what I call it). We had one at NTB called "the panther". It shoots a lot of air super fast so you can mount smaller or bigger tires (originally invented for truck tires)

  • google boggers and you will see what im talking about

  • ah ha !

  • wats in the tank? is it just compressed air?

  • yes sir. just air !

  • why who wouldnt want a wider tire???

  • try streachin 15x18 rims on boggers or even 15x20s on boggers with ease

  • we would if we new what boggers were ! thanks for your comments anyway

  • @styledynamix

Boggers are a line of tire from SuperSwamper

  • @discoveryman uhhh no . both boggers and super swampers are tire models made by interco ....

  • @styledynamix Mud tyres. Dunny why anyone would want thos stretched though. If anything you want the opposite. e.g. 10" wide rim, 12.5" tyre

  • @MOLOKAIBO1 I think I'd rather stretch the bogger onto the rim as opposed to stretching the rim onto the bogger..um, yeah

  • and u gonna drive that?

  • well we wont ! but the customer is !

  • see the second i had rims set up like that on my car I just know i'd run up against the gutter first time i tried to park!!

  • just wondering whether any one could tell me what that handheld machine is that that the guy was using at 1:25 and what does it do? thanks in advance

  • Its a bead blaster, you fill it with air put it into the tyre and open the valve quickly. It seats beads great!

  • The technical name for that is a Cheetah

  • Wherever the scene goes I follow

  • ok... case closed....

  • its all about tucking the tread of the tyre under the wheel arch on a low wide stanced car so that it is legal. (so stones are not thrown)

not everyones cupa tea, but i love the Euro look. =]

  • some people also stretch tires mecuase it makes the sidewall stiffer, which i cant remmeber exactly what thats good for, i want to say drifting but not sure exactly

and i also love the stretched look

  • ya i see alot of drifting people with this done...so id say drifting also.

  • tire stretching originally came from japan from drifters, having the sidewalls like this helps break traction easier for drifting.

  • sorry but do some research before you think everything comes from drifting, fast and furious..

The whole thing started in Germany/Belgium, local laws required that the tire tread be within the fender line. well that doesnt allow one to run wider or lower offset wheels, so they put narrower tires on the wheel to maintain legality.

  • Started in germany and had nothing to do with drifting actually.

  • exactly

  • i work in a garage and i know that after a tire is stretched and on the car for about a week once u break it down (pop the bead) the tire stays stretched to the width of the rim......it does not go right back like an elastic

  • i have that cannon, i love it.

  • its all down to stance u lower the car and stretch the tyre on to a decent looking wide rim it looks awsome on a show car

so y r u ppl bitchin bout not having enough money :S it looks gd simple as!!

  • Is all part of the euro scene :>

  • There is absolutely no proof to say that stretched tyres are more unsafe than non stretched tyres and they can handle heavy duty turning as they are used on drift cars, its nothing about not being able to afford the right sized tires either, you need to buy a high quality tire for it to be able to stretch, like a toyo tyre for example, and they cost quite a lot so dude you need to go do a little bit more research before putting people down....

  • dude. your a fucking idiot

  • i got 155/75 r13 on a 8.5" wide rim it shure was stretched! :D but it did not look sa good as that (;

    nice work!

  • that must be streched real wide.

  • Great guys !!!!!!!

  • good stretch mate!!i've got 195/45R16 on 9j =) loooks goooooood!!!

  • hm! nuts! and heres me wondering if my 295 50 15's will look ok for me chevy 12" rear rims!

    =P fair play!

  • its not a difficult stretch I run 235/35/r18's on 18x11" and 295/45/r18s on 18x14" reason for stretching can vary for the look (on race themed show cars looks very aggressive) or drifters running cheaper tyres in nz we dont get a big selection in anything 295 or wider so its more cost effective for drifting for us privateers with no sponsors

  • thats sound mental mate, thats something i want to see !

  • ive seen bigger stretch lol

and they look more like keskin kt1's than ferrari rims lol

  • so have we ! i know they look a bit like kt1s, but these are the speedline splits

  • rims for a 308 ferrari?

  • not sure if they are BUT they sure look like the ferrari wheels

  • is this actually safe?

  • have seen bigger streches in germany where they have to be TUV approved, so it must be cool. as far as we know !

  • those rims cost like 6 grand and ive seen those on a 1994 tesserosa

  • What if you went around a turn too fast wouldnt it come off the bead??

  • havent seen any tyres come off yet ! even with extreme stretches. have seen bigger and even done bigger !

  • bead cannon to the rescue that's it working on a good day. an that's a really excessive stretch aye. i wonder how fast that tyre got edge wear lol

  • What does the 40 stand for? & does that number really matter?

  • the second number in a tire size (225/40ZR18 for example) is the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the tread width. so 225 millimeters wide, 40% of 225mm in height, mounted on an 18 inch rim.

  • WE use a Cheetah often at work, man I dunno what the hell we would do without it...not a bag fan of the ether method ;)

  • as do we lol fuckin thing kicks hard!

  • wow, that is definitely a ridiculous stretch. but to each their own I guess.

  • probably should of went 225, im not a fan when you can fit your thumb between the rim and tire like that..crazy stretch

  • yeh. i know what you mean. strech is cool but we do some a few times that push it to the limits ..

  • where do i find streched rims

  • What the hell do you mean stretched rims?

  • great job! and first try, wow. how wide are those wheels, anyway?

  • the wheels are 10x16

  • you mean 16x10? haha i know what you mean

  • no, he means 10x16. these blokes speak english.

  • cheetahs are the best lol

  • Defo bro, beats trying to get the fuckers blown up using seat covers a plenty of a bike tube.

  • Get the cheater on it, best way by far. Thats what I use if I have to fit a tyre to a wide wheel.

  • thanks for the advise but we use the same theng. just got a different name.. best thing we ever bought !

  • awasome

    couple of weeks a go i putted 195/45/16 toyo's on 9j rims.

also wit a kanon, working with brake cleaner is for people who dont have any clue how dangerious it is.

    je cant watch my movie's

also done with an air kanon(luchtkanon)

i dont know iff you call it a kanon.

we call it an kanon in holland..

  • nagkang ditch finder pro's

  • thats old school

  • this is too much, stretching has a limits.

  • Is that road safe?? dont get me wrong it looks like the mutts nutts, just looks like the very overinflated and ready to burst!

  • Fock, that's a stretch . :/

  • what was the gas you guys injected that came from a separate feed and tank?

  • just compressed air, used to try to push the tire out to seat the bead since its a more than average stretch. looks like a good stretch.

  • how do u know what size of tire to put on the rim to make it like that ?

  • this is what the customer wanted and bought with him to put on the wheels. we only done the job

  • bloody hell thats a stretch.

    what wheels are those?

  • i love stretch! looks wicked.

  • good vid the shit did not look like it would fit at all

  • Nice stretch, never seen it taken that far before. Not really my thing tho

  • Nothing personal to the customer but that looks a little ugly :P Nice stretching ;o

  • all you wee lads still swimming in your daddy's sack when gearheads did this back in the day. yes, this is old skool way nothing new!oh yeah spot on mate ,nice job!

  • is that all u need a cheeta??

  • i wanna stretch some tyres over my 16's what size tyer should i go for

  • its not about people being cheap, stretch is a style and it can actually have handling advantages like no sidewall play

  • You guys don't actually plan on having a car driving on the streets with that right? I'd hate to see the liability claim in that lawsuit!
