I met Dorothy briefly a few times. Maybe ,she was her own worst enemy but then she was also one of the finest entertainers ever. If the television companies and impressarios had engaged with and nurtured her before a wider public from 1970 onwards she would be remembered today far more widely.At her very best she was an inspiring artist to watch and hear. You left the theatre on a natural high your emotions charged. I wish all of the available footage from the TV companies could be issued / DVD.
Best singing Welsh girl to come out of Wales and never lost our twang.. Sadly missed R>I>P> Dot Squires.
