I've actually never played a KOF game but I may get into this one. Love the style and look but i wish that they would have done anime-styled drawn effects rather than the generated looking effects

idk why some people show hostility toward other fighting games if they dont see their favorite fighting game. and most of them do it without even knowing about the game, gameplay and its history. those people should understand that fighting games are not abut one or two particular titles. a true fighting gamer respects every fighting games. if u are one of those people and still cant appreciate anything other than one or two particular games then instead whining or complaining just dont watch.

I for one prefer King Of Fighter's over Marvel and Street Fighter, always have. For one the sound track is mad godlike. And the game play I feel is more fluid, and it isn't a mash friendly game which I love. There's no wakeup supers like in SSFIV due to no invincibility on startup and overall it fells more like a genuine fighting game. But don't get me wrong I love me some Street Fighter and MVC3 but my hearts always been with KOF.

@LordEdge19 K has been toned down since AE. Once you start making outside rules then you end up spiting the community because no one knows what system a tournament is using and whether the team there using is "legal".

@oliur89 If you have played SF then it shouldn't be too hard to get what's going on. Basically everyone can short jump,roll,and run which makes the game very fast. You have two sets of meters. The yellow one is your standard super meter for Ex moves and Supers. The silver one is the Hyper Drive meter which lets cancel Special Moves into other Special moves or enter a custom combo mode at full charge.

@Bodmon256 really? many issues? exactly what issues? when it comes to fighting games, sf4 is actually one of the most balanced out there, of course the arrival of AE shook things up a little bit but back in super, the game was surprisingly balanced, of course there were some character better than others (that's always gonna happen in a fighting game) but no one was really useless (Except dee-jay maybe) Now that AE 2012 will come out, the game will again be pretty balanced.

Well lets put aside lag since thats universal, l'm talking about gameplay being repetitive and mostly about matchups, aside from general yomi the BnBs in sf are much less diverse then say kof, GG or BB

Personally i can't see how can a game where two people play against each other is repetitive. Every good competitive game (be it chess or football) has a set of rules/limits but that doesn't mean you do the same thing over and over again. If you prefer Kof over street fighter, it's okay, just don't give lame arguments to back up your oppinion.

Sorry but its not, in fact most games have them, and if l was fucking naive fanboy l'd agree but you see in the real world things are not "balanced" like they should be. Anyways my point was that fighting games originating from old platforms tend to play the same in terms of mechanics. Having rules is basic and I *personally* love SF but l want a change of pace, which is why l'm interested in kof, tekken and GG/BB.
