@1991stratplus I don't really know and am not worried about it at all really; this isn't life or death, it's a discussion area where sometimes people's ego's get in the way; funny how people re-act when their values are threatened though, although I was having some good exchanges with people of differing opinions who were posting on the clips. i came up with the Pascals Wager well before i ever heard of it on my own, as a kid. it couldn't convince me to believe, but it took me a while to see the logical fallacy of the Wager.
of course, being a kid, i think i had a valid excuse.

However when someone claims the subject whatever they call it has supernatural powers then they're required to present evidence to support the claim. Because I am not making the claim that god does not exist. The burden of proof lies with the one making the claim that god does in fact exist.

If a person claims a god doesn't exist they would have a difficult time proving a negative claim (Non existence). How can anyone prove non existence ? Constant surveillance would have to be maintained everywhere & you still would not be able to prove non existence especially when We don't have definitive attributes which describe what is trying to be disproved.
@1991stratplus Here's an example non existence which is difficult to prove until a certain period of time passes. If someone is missing for a long time it would be impossible to prove he's dead (no longer exists) until you find the corpse. After a period of time depending on the person's age It will be safe to presume they're dead even if the corpse isn't found.

If I were a prosecuting attorney I would want to have a jury consisting off 12 theists because they're willing to accept the existence of an all powerful deity without evidence & they're probably just as gullible to accept a charge of guilt without evidence.

@1991stratplus Many theists especially christians try to support 1 assertion with more unsupported assertions. They claim to know a god exists because it's written in scripture. Circular reasoning has left them delusional. You can always expect them to try to frighten people who ask for evidence. Many are indoctrinated at a young age. If childhood indoctrination was criminalized, religion especially christianity would die a swift death.

@1991stratplus I found out where I'd argued with that guy/girl/man/woman/martian before, it was on another AE vid, they were saying God is omnipotent but couldn't lie (therefore not omnipotent) but was omnipotent but couldn't lie, but was omnipotent, but couldn't lie. @1991stratplus Existence can be proven. Non existence is more difficult & in many cases virtually impossible to prove. Existence can & needs to be demonstrated before it is accepted. Non existence is something which doesn't have to demonstrated in order to be accepted. If existence isn't demonstrated, then anyone is justified in either questioning or rejecting the claim of existence. It's not about accepting non existence. It's about questioning or rejecting existence until it's proven.

I'm still waiting for them to explain How all the surviving creatures were rounded up & placed on the Ark, fed for at least 40 days then returned to their natural habitat. @gleehmee I won't dispute the fact that the Statue exists. I will dispute the claim that it's a deity with supernatural powers. We can label anything with any title including deity/god. However when someone claims the subject whatever they call it has supernatural powers then they're required to present evidence to support the claim. Nobody is required to present evidence that the object labeled a god or any title doesn't have supernatural powers. Do You agree or disagree with my explanation ?

@1991stratplus I don't care if someone flags my comment. I would just challenge the person to present their argument to me. If a person claims a god doesn't exist they would have a difficult time proving a negative claim (Non existence). How can anyone prove non existence ? Constant surveillance would have to be maintained everywhere & you still would not be able to prove non existence especially when We don't have definitive attributes which describe what is trying to be disproved.

@1991stratplus Here's an example non existence which is difficult to prove until a certain period of time passes. If someone is missing for a long time it would be impossible to prove he's dead (no longer exists) until you find the corpse. After a period of time depending on the person's age It will be safe to presume they're dead even if the corpse isn't found.
