Hi,I am finding it really difficult to upgrade my plane ,but now i think i have found the right person(in the UK)I want to upgrade to 4s(14.8v)but not sure the setup?at the mo,i am using 2200mah/3s/11.1v with 40amp ESC,but it fly's like a brick in wind, what battries are you using and outrunner motor ,60amp ESC right?my motor is an inrunner i think(4300-4500)kv,,,,Stu
the other day to buy one of these, someone can tell me which is better Batteria for this model? I found it too low the autonomy of the mine, about 7 minutes or so little time .....
i have a 60A ESC and ubec the only one that worries me is he high current that would run the motor using a 4cell batt, and the fact that i need to spend money on new batts! thanks for answering and cool video thumbs up

@greekjohnny Sounds like your spec is very similar to mine now. I'm hoping to get a more recent video of mine once the weather here improves. I've bought a 4 cell lipo already but not tried it yet, maybe I'll give it a try on the next outing..... wish me luck :-)
@greekjohnny I've just uploaded a new video of my red arrow, it's flying really well on a 3 cell lipo that I decided not to risk putting in a 4 cell and possibly damaging it. See what you think on the video. Steve
Nice... thought with the extra intake. actually on my first flight i destray the fuselage nose to the begining of the wind and i made a new one from scracth using blue foam. i bought it with a better motor (4000kV the seller told me) and i was advised to change the batt from a 3cell one to a 4cells one.
I have the same plane but it seems to run underpowered, what kind of batt and motor do you have on it cause it seems to fly faster than mine. Can you do loops cause mine seems to luck power for it?
@greekjohnny Yes it will do loops. In this video it had a 5 blade 64mm fan, 2200mAh Lipo, 25amp ESC and stock inrunner motor. Now it has a 6 blade fan, 2200mAh lipo, 60amp esc, seperate ubec and a decent outrunner motor. It already flies faster. But I did all the upgrades to eventually try a 4 cell 14.8 lipo. It will either go like the clappers, or go pop! Steve
@greekjohnny Also, I relocated the battery to inside (access from the top). I removed the battery compartment lid and made an extra air-intake hole from inside there. The two air ducts dont seem to be enough to feed the fan properly, this extra third hole really did seem to help.
Good luck with it. They are not easy to fly at all. Most people learn to fly with trainer planes first and then get a jet. They are quick and can get away from you really easily. Let us know how you get on.
Yes you should. These are not easy to fly and I've seen a few new pilots struggle and crash very quickly. I had some friends fly mine on a buddy lead, and ALL needed assistance otherwise they would have crashed. Where are you located? UK?
I've had that a fair while now (2nd hand in Feb 2009) bit it needed fixing up . It's a bit of a handful to fly so i dont use it all that often. But it does look good when it's in the air :-)
really really good flying, i'm very tempted to try one of these do you know if you can get them as bind & fly models as i have a dx6i sitting around doing nothing at the mo
Thanks :-) I did install an AR6100 Spektrum receiver in it for a while so I could buddy fly it with some friends. Make sure you get the new V2 version with the clear canopy, its much better than the one I've got.
Well done omj624p ! Great jet :)

@HighFlyguy45 Cheers. It's still hanging in the garage ready to fly, but I've not flown it in a while now...
