@FqY3 If you play the game again (if you have it) Once you rescue a chicken from outlaws, stories tell that there was an octupus that currupted there guardian steef, so the player (possibly) might think stranger was that guardian steef, the ending reveals it though. (as seen here). Get it now?

Stranger's Wrath must have taken place a couple of centuries/millenia before the events of Abe's Oddysee.

The scene is set as a western environment and by the time we meet Abe, the whole world is in a state of Industry vs Nature.

The Octigi evolved into the Industrial Glukkons whilst the Grubbs evolved into the Mudokons.

Fuzzles remained as the only ancient civilization of species to not go through change.

The Scrabs and Paramites were yet to exist or they were then hiding in the outskirts.

@gravesama you are a bounty hunter saving up for an operation so nobody ever learns you are a endangered species worth alot of money to collectors. when you are discovered you are saved by a tribe that see's the creature you are as its protector and you are reluctantly dragged into an adventure to save them with your own personal interest of getting back to town so you can get the operation to remove the back legs. you begin to care for them and your goal switches to helping the tribe.

@AKAOJ Oddworld Inhabitants were never a developer, they were a games designer who worked with developers. Now they're called Oddmob and they're working with a new developer called JAW.

At the moment, Oddmob and JAW are working on a Stranger's Wrath port for PSN (not XBL) coming out at Easter but they also have 4 more projects (new Oddworld games) planned for ALL systems too.

I haven't played it yet but comparing it from other games then comparing it to the original Oddworld games, at first glance it's addicting inspiring, and an all rounder in gaming fun but I don't know, it just somehow doesn't feel like a true Oddworld game to me it just has the feel like it's just some kind of spin off to me. The whole Oddworld Series is a Quintology. Each series had their own hero in it. It started off with Abe the mudokon. Then in the second series it was based on Munch, the Gabbit and so now it is Stranger, the last Steef. Not only that but it was set much farther away from Abe or Munch. Just because it had a completely different hero doesn't mean it ruins the game altogether.

This game was pretty good. They also brought back a few of the same creatures from the other games such as the Fuzzles.

It's actually an Octigi, a species that decended from the same ancestor as Glukkons. Octigi have the power to control any body they attach to, kinda like the aliens from Half Life.

You mean that thing in the water? That was an Octogi, a cousin species to Glukkon and Gloktogi, the three species came from the same ancestors. That one possessed the Steef Septo and made him create that damn and almost kill off all the steef.
