  • These things are like ghosts.

  • have u ever seen a multiple vortex waterspout

  • @AJTwister97 .

Yes, the spray ring is made up of several multiple vorticies and I have also seen may in dustdevils.

  • holy crap where they cool did they made it

  • I have a question. Is it considered a waterspout if doesn't have a funnel? I was fishing during an extremely hot weather with no clouds in the sky and something similar like that in ur vid appeared.

  • It's not intense... I was expecting an F1 at the minimum when I read "intense" in the description.

    Meh, it's still cool.

  • do waterspouts and tornadoes ever go from land onto water or vice versa?

  • yes. waterspouts become tornadoes when it reaches the land. the opposite goes when reaching open water.

  • Yes. Look up "Aerial tornado footage" on Youtube and the first video will show an example.

  • You were lucky to catch that as it was forming.

  • I saw this on the Gethan Jones program, it was amazing, That's him "shouting get the boat"I think I'm right in saying.

  • what show is that?

  • Gethin Jones' Danger Hunters it was shown on virgin 1, in the UK last year.

  • Amazing video. Thank you for sharing it. I wonder why the large boat and the smaller boat didn't get out of there right away.

I still have very pleasant memories of a Summer vacation my family and I spent on Sugar Loaf Key years ago.

  • Those boats were tied up there so it would probably take too much time to leave the area. As you can see there were a couple of people on board but I think they were quite startled when this spuot decended on them.

  • That is the most incredible waterspout video I have ever seen. It's amazing how you can see it actually twist the boat around in the water. Awesome - and I'm pissed I wasn't there!

  • That was a very intense waterspout with the debris and all over those boats. I would love to see a waterspout someday.

  • To be a person that you catch storms professionally, knows not burn properly, use a tripod and therefore cease to move the camera when they're filming, much bothers see an image and that this is moving constantly ;).

The waterspout is my favorite, fantastic objects sucking vortex of that boat, I'd love to meet within that whirlwind of spray, it must be a marvel live a waterspout as its video :).

  • I agree with regards about the tripod. I was with a Discovery Channel crew and we were figuring that the chances for a waterspout were about zero at this point so we were at the tiki bar relaxing from a days hunting for spouts. I luckily kept my camcorder with me as it would have been too hot in the locked car. The tripod was in the car but it was too far away and chances are the waterspout would not wait for me to go get it.

  • No problem by not using tripod during the chase :), I also happened to me, that I forgot the tripod at home when I see a dust devil appear on the field, unfortunately I am very nervous to shoot the images and not leaving very sharp and stabilized, I hope to see more videos of that waterspout of the crew Discovery channel.

  • AMAZING footage Jim. It's gotta be great being able to just go down the road from your house and see a show like this.

  • LOL at JIm "dont get in the way what ever you do" I'd sa the same thing...

  • What a summer Jim. Great footage

  • That was on the water? Looks like on land - bet those folks on that boat had one helluva ride! LOL Excellent capture, Jim, five stars! Adding to "StormChase" playlist.
