  • Herb Alpert's wife is singing this

  • I don't know about most, but i believe Maud Adams was among the most gorgeous of the Bond women, loved her in the shower in The Man With The Golden Gun, would have liked to have seen MORE of her revealed

  • That´s a good song, but is of the film of Sean Connery, the las performe of JB , in a outside film. The film, was so intersting, as a remake of Thunderball of the sixties. Klaus Maria Brandauer, ad very good BAD GREAT BAD. Godd perform of the two films and diferent songs. It is fine.

  • The better theme song to the better movie...nice.

  • Now that could've worked better as the main title song to Octopussy, now that's a real hit for you.

  • i sware this isnt the octopussy theme song

  • @BLT1538 IT isn't this is the theme from Never Say Never Again. which was a remake of the Thunderball movie. It was not made by the James Bond production comany Eon. but was still a very popular movie seeing Sean Connery returnign as the role of James Bond.

  • Love this theme wished they couldve made a proper bond intro to it because it was actually nice song. I lOVED Fatima Blush the evil bondgirl in Never Say Never Again l think thats where producer of Goldeneye got inspiration for Xenia Onatopp

  • I actually liked this theme!

The rest of the soundtrack to "Never Say Never" was absolute rubbish!!

  • do u still take requests?

  • Octopussy... singer... Rita Coolidge, All Time Hight, this music is the other film... Never Say Never Again with Sean Connery.

  • haha,great song wrong match

  • what's the purpouse of this???

  • "NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN" IS NOT THE THEME TO "OCTOPUSSY" GET IT RIGHT YOU IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Confusing - why have you put never say never with the Octopussy intro?

  • EL VIDEO ES DE OCTOPUSSY, LA MUSICA DE NUNCA DIGAS NUNCA

  • Okay creepy and the song sucks! All time high was 100 times better than this!

  • hello,aint no joke##real##sorry####

  • "All Time High" was just too light-weight for a Bond Film. Easily forgotten compared to so many other Classic Themes.

  • @princeeverlove all time high though not amazing was ok, much better than this song.

  • OctoPUSSY. hehe

  • This was originally intended for Barbra Streisand. The song is written by Alan and Marilyn Bergman, who wrote "The Way We Were," "The Summer Knows" (love theme from Summer of '42), and the soundtrack from Yentl, among others. Go Barbra!

  • Admittedly "All Time High" does seem like something that belongs elsewhere in the film than the title. But I've heard worse Bond themes... Blood Stone's "I'll Take it All" for instance.

  • Like this video if you think the director of Never Say Never Again Irvin Kershnir is in heaven now. RIP Irvin Kershnir :_-(

  • That was awesome! oh my gosh that should be the theme song for"Octopussy" because i think it sounds more like a 007 song than All time high!

  • Anything... ANYTHING... is better than "All Time High." (And I happen to like this song anyway.)

  • clearly octomom had an octopussy heh heh heh......ok I'm sorry. Anyway James Bond is awesome

  • This was perhaps Roger Moore's best Bond movie,Octopussy that suffered only from the terrible theme song by Rita Coolidge "All Time High".It's fun to think of how it would have turned out with the great theme song that it's competitor Bond movie had sung by Lani Hall ,Never Say Never Again with Sean Connery both released during the summer of 1984,each movie made to compete fierously with the other, put out by rival movie companies.

  • horrible song....

  • @JessOnTheRun And if you listen to it it gets even worse. To me it feels like the hymn of abused women. Who hold on to a man trying to change him, hoping he will change no matter what he does. Or almost worse, the hymn of emasculating women who want to force whoever they wish to change into what they wish him to be.

  • Kristina Wayborn (former Miss Sweden) is one delectable babe.

  • lot of inspiration in this openers from 007, love them more then the movies

  • That's Really Good :) Different.

  • who sang this?....

  • @wixy20071 Lani Hall (who just happens to be Herb Alpert's wife).

  • @geroguy0472 lol yeah funny you said that i watched a doco on him the other day and found that out lol thanks :D

  • i hate the begging wen they say never say nver again but itz cool 4 the rest and octopussy is a funny name lol

  • I always loved the octopussy intro because of all the dimly lit , but visible tits. That's the bestthing ever to a 12 year old boy.

  • There were rumours that Timothy Dalton was going to do an unofficial Bond movie sometime around the time that Tomorrow Never Dies was released. It never happened of course.

  • See, it's things like this that make the universe collapse. :-P (Though I do prefer Lani's song over the AWFUL "All Time High".)

  • its ok, but i'm not at an all time high...

  • so stylish , real art

  • wasn't Never Say Never Again a copy of Thunderball?

  • @Bigkumar1015 I can't believe two bond moves came out in the same years in the early 80's.That would never happen today.

  • And in 1967. (And as in 1983, they were in major competition with each other.)

  • yeah pretty crappy tooo in my opinion thunderball my favorite movie goldfinger perfect bond movie and neer say never wasnt even an official bond

  • @Bigkumar1015 yes it was, it was a remake but not as good as thunderball

  • Even if the movie was crap this song is quite good. :D

  • Perfect synch I wonder if the score songs have a time restraint this is way too much coincidence.... Lani Hall's score deserves to be in the official Bond catalog

  • Moore and Connery were the two all time best 007s.

  • Favorite of mine as well ..

  • up high dude

  • great song for the re make of thunderball -- Never say never again!! Octopussy came out the same year and the song does go with the opening title!

  • really lol i didnt know that but wasnt as good as thunderball

  • Falsche Musik-die hier ist aus "Sag niemal nie" mit dem besten Bond, den es ja gab - S.Connery

  • One of the best chorus of the bond franchise and sean conery greatest performance

  • Even Though I Like The Original, This Still Sounds Pretty Good.

  • WOW ... this truly could have replaced All Time High. Great song. GREAT MOVIE!!!

  • agreed

  • this dont fit at all! all time high time

  • who sings this song, anyway?

  • Lani Hall.

  • Or by the looks of irritation, it could be Amy Whinehouse with a rat stuck down her throat!

  • This fits really well, much better than "All Time High". :)

  • Slightly weird, but it works!

One of the regulars on alt.fan.bond or something (remember newwsgroups??) had the idea of recutting the intro to Never Say Never Again to make it like a regular Bond film - i.e. gunbarrel opening, the hostage release sequence without the music and credits playing over it. Bond gets stabbed, which then leads into a new, Maurice Binder-style credits sequence with the music. Then we see Bond and M watching the video playback, etc.

I'd have paid to see that :-)

  • thats messed.

  • WTF!

  • this is really dang funny, they don't fit together. I love this parody.

  • Cool idea. The time matches very nicely.

Here is one for you. The band Ash have a song called "Goldfinger".

You know where I'm going with this don't you?

  • mintyspace, I'm with you - you're spot on there. Awful cheese! Certainly, never say 1983 again, lol.

  • Personally,I think that 1983 was not a good year for Bond music,Dont get me wrong,I love both Never say never Again and Octopussy, but the songs All Time High and Never Say Never Again I just find corny, cheesy, and irritating, once again this is only my opinion and Im not saying it as fact,I still believe the two movies to be classics. Its also my opinion that Duran Duran saved the day with the 80's retro classic - A View to a Kill, that song had the energy that the other 2 were lacking

  • I like the song on its own, but not as anything to attach itself to James Bond. It's like watching a NASCAR race while listening to "Pie Jesu"

  • This used to crack me up whenever I put in the movie. Sean Connery's just taking out enemy operatives while this jazzy song plays.

    Good stuff!

  • yep works. that's weird!

  • Works, strangely enough. :)

  • much better intro

  • This shit is great! I luv the 80's

  • Good job! Never say Never, the music written by the classically educated French jazz pianist and composer Michel Legrand was the last of the really good bond themes, and probably the best. Melodic, great chord sequences and unashamedly glamourous. After that Bond music reflected that of the 80s and 90s - vapid, cliched, chordally uninteresting and vaccuous.

  • i like this song alot better then all time high

  • Boy, you and me both. I'm in the tiny minority that actually LIKES the theme from "Never Say Never...."

  • I love both of them. I think some people hate a movie, therefore its song must suck.

  • I actually like "Never Say Never Again" better than "All TIme High", though that was the only good thing to come out of that film.

  • i love this song

  • I feel ike I'm in paradise. I mean, listen to the beat closely.

  • Love it! 5 stars, and favorite!

  • Pretty good. All time High from rita coolidge sucked.

    Nice job. ;)

  • "All time high" - worst Bond theme ever...

  • I really like it actually.

  • Wow! That actually worked pretty well! :)

  • Thanks! :-)

  • Just what I've wanted it to be! Keep up the good work!
