Thanks man , worked like a charm ...tested it on XP x64 ....the option(2) to set new password it just fails for this system , also something that has to be mentioned is to SAVE the changes after you are done. Unzip the .iso file / extract the files from the .iso -> Format a Flash Drive in FAT -> copy files to it ->Working like a charm. (read the README file coming with it , will sort out doubts)

@WILDNLOCO4U Now I'm assuming you don't have a cd drive 'cuz your using a netbook, correct?? Well instead of burning it to a disk, you'd use a flashdrive, the .iso, and a nifty program called "Unetbootin". Basically you'd use "Unetbootin" to create a m.b.r. onto a flashdrive and copy the contents from the .iso to the flashdrive. Once that's done you'd boot into Usb device or something like that.

you need to download the software and burn it onto a disk. Use MagicISO to burn and then boot that disk..

this worked perfectly and it's pretty simple. Used MagicISO to make the disk. Booted from it, hit enter a few times and it reset the admin password. Highly Recommended!

@kinklet What you could do for the parental controls is press f12 as soon as the computer starts up and start it in safe mode. Once it starts up you should see two accounts, 1 will be Administrator, and the other will be your daughters, the Administrator wont have a password and will let you take off parental controls :p happy hunting

Yes you can do it on a standard account, u have to use a burning software to burn the cd image to a cd, google this ( burn image to a cd ) you should get tutorial on how to burn it properly.

Yes you can install it on a USB stick see the following instructions

1- Download the cd image from the link in the video description

2- extract the files on the cd image into the USb stick

3- go to command line and type H:\syslinux.exe -ma H:

3- replace the H in the previous command with your USB Drive letter

4- if it did not give you any errors that means you have installed it succesfully

5- change the boot sequence from ur bios to boot from the USB stick

You must have missed a step or something

Follow these steps and let me know if you're still can't get it to work

1 - Choose (Edit user data and passwords)

2 - All user names will appear on a list

3 - Make sure you typed the username correctly

4 - Choose ( clear blank user password )

After that the system should give you this messege ( Password cleared ! )

Then you hit CTRL ALT DEL to reboot

I got the same program from a different site (pogostick. com or something similar) and I think it either A) pretty much raped my computer's entire system or B) gave me a virus. Before the login screen, it says lsass.exe is not working or something. I couldn't have gotten it from the internet because we can't acess any of the account information or logon. I have XP; any help?

@Shrety I don't have any passwords at all. The guest account is closed, and the Administrator is passworded. I know no way to get into the system. That's why I got the program in the first place. The program didn't clear the passwords or anything, I just get the warning message instead of the logon screen. It's probably not worth saving at this point. The laptop was free from my dad's workplace because no one knew passwords, so no big loss there. I'll see if he can pick up another laptop.

Google it and download it and u can use it with any version of windows operating system to reset any user password, and after downloading the cd image u have to burn it on a cd then boot ur computer from the cd and then follow the steps on the video description

If you honestly want to know the EASIEST way of getting around forgetting your password in ALL types of Windows versions (Xp-7) when you're at the bootloader screen constantly hit F8 and then boot into safe mode. Windows will temporarily create another administrator with no password. You can then navigate to Control Panel and change your account's password. No harm done, and no stupid over complicated trojan filled programs such as this to get in your way.

@bmtx14 this is also wrong because windows will not create any temporary accounts for you to access the system, the only way you could log on to safe mode without putting any passwords in is if u had an account on the system that has no password whether that account is an administrator or not

Just so everyone knows, any type of program that seems so innately amazing. Such as an offline registry editor has repercussions from installing it. Yes they did not lie that you could change you and other passwords on the computer, what they didn't tell you is that it roots itself within the system far beyond your knowledge or access privileges. It also more than likely pushes all passwords to the developer of this program.

@bmtx14 you're assuming all that but in fact i have tested this program against malicious code and it does not send anything outside your computer it just edit the password stored on ur computer and replace it with a new password but no files or programs are added to your system ... see the source code of the utility in the official website, its an open source ...
