hey i was wondering should i buy this rx7 turbo?

I am selling my 1987 Mazda rx7. It has the legendary 13b rotary engine with aprox 2700 miles on the rebuilt motor, the car is a 5spd manual and has a built differential . The car makes around 400hp running around 8 psi and its set up to drift. The car has full coilovers and nice exhaust. The car Is turbo and is quick as hell

i have the same RE Amemiya strut bar, and the Racing BEat REV2 exhaust and downpipe !!!

only difference is im running a JSPEC bridgeported S5 T2 engine with haltech.

I own a 1987 mazda rx7 GXL so it's the non turbo....and dude u have a freakin bad ass engine..and super clean too...u should help me with some problems mines got its just a little studder, but hopefully ill get my car runnin quick

You deleted your bac valve thats why it struggles on cold startup. Bac valve has a cold startup system it controls the idle. without it youll have idle problems

duh its small its a 1.3l engine, rotaries are small but powerful. will kill a gt4. the 13b is equal to a v6!!

but the part u dont get is that it is a rotary. stock turbo 2s have 180hp and with a little modding and bigger turbo can easily be 350+, and overheating was never an issue with these cars. look at the newer turbo cars now, compare them to a 1997 twin turbo rx7 with a 13b thats pushing easily 300hp and its a 1.3. and like i said b4 a 13b has the torque and power of a v6, its not just any 1.3l engine, do some research

you cant really compair them to a piston engin they work similer but are more like a 2 stroke even thow they have the 4 stroke cycle each rotor face is like a piston, 1080 deg rotation is one cycle = flow of 3.914L so more like a V8 then the 6 but very little torque, its all in High RPM and on powerband they they make power or on boost.

its was a problem with the FD chassis and REW motor but not the FC and TII motors....

correct. the fc's had superior water pumps that didnt cavetate anything above 5000 rpms.

true but rotary engines where thought of through the plane motor because a plane had 8 mounted pistons turning a prop but it would over heat and stall, they then made the pistons rotate with the prop thus keeping them cool so my idea and if i was making a rotary with it coming from these ideas i would make them very little effected from heat..

a rotary will overheat only when dumbasses dont know how to take care of one. A proper maintained rotary will not overheat.

i'm guessing you never had a N/A FC did you? caus if you did you wouldn't call Any turbo FC "Tame".now as fo streetport being tame my freind put down 308RWHP on stock ports 12PSI on a BNR stage 3 so for somelike like me whos 193,XXX mile S5 N/A only has like 99RWHHP even a stock T2 is not tame.

I'm an owner of a 13B bridgeport turbo Rx7, 1 of my mates has a 13B monster port, my other mate has a 12A extend port turbo and another one has a 13B J port, so I know what I'm talking about. So I think you need to go educate yourself, explore the world a bit more and come across some ballsy rotarys that aren't Tame :-) so grow up soccer boy.

@91hatchb16a its a gilmer drive pulley kit and they dont sell them for p/s or a/c, you have to delete them to use them, and you can find them a couple places.... mazdatrix or tweakit.net sells them
