@iamnotexist1 if that's with the stock cooler then yeah that is bad, u should try and by an after market cooler or at least change the thermal paste just keep an eye on the temps but u should be alright
i want to overclock my E5300 cpu .i just want to know if it's safe to do it with a 500wats source.and is overclocking have something to do with the life of the part.is it damaging the part in time ?
@MasterOfMusic011 Yeah you should be safe with a 500w power supply I have the same wattage as u. Technically u are shorting the life span but not very much you won't really notice it...CPU's and meant to take a pretty decent amount of stress and as long as its kept cool you should be fine also keep an eye on the voltage u don't want it to high because they can really harm the chip including the board.. both other then that your fine. Have fun over clocking
very nice, 4.0ghz is beastly, I had my cpu running at 4.0ghz for a while, I backed it down to 3.6ghz, it's running cooler, and still plays everything, I might put it back to 3.4ghz right now my idle temps are 35-38 depending on the weather, nice DisPic, Intel is beastly for OC, my amd cpu only goes to 4.0 stable from 3.4
im getting a Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L a E5300 and Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2. also a XFX ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3!! putting it all in my exsiting boggy case tho! so im cutting two 120mm fans in the side, one in the bottom and increasing the 80mm at the back to a 120mm.
all the fans interlink and will only use the one system fan slot on mobo! need some decent ram tho, dont wana spend too much over 70£ for 4gb
@saj1986 nice system, check out some kits from Corsair, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston pretty much any decent brand will do just make sure its 1.8v and no higher then 800Mhz ( it will say all that on the package ) then you'll be fine. Thanks for watching
@Necrommancer lol thats ok, Yea there is some risks that can happen, u could fry your CPU from over voltage, heat, u could fry your memory due to the same issues, also usually if u fry some thing like the CPU the board might go with it, if u r new to over clocking & pc's best bet is to do a lot of re search, & make sure u have decent case & cpu cooling, it's not that hard to over clock ( depending on CPU ) but once u get use to it its some what easy, I'm no master at it either, thanks 4 watching
@TylertheGeek28 LMAO!!! Oh damn! hehehe, all right, I guess i'll just leave it as default 2.6GHz, it's not that bad to handle today's game's and technologies hehe
@Necrommancer haha yeah its fine, If this CPU can handle playing Crysis then it can pretty much handle any thing, the other thing is to get a graphics card that isn't on board, takes a lot of stress away from the CPU.
omg i have the arctic 7 cooler pro also! and the e5300! Woohoo! so that means i can overclock it to 4ghz? my mobo is an EP45-UD3P Gigabyte. 730w psu modular :) Also I have a q8400 but i dont feel like installing it atm.
@TearsOfWar1 yeah that CPU & motherboard u shouldn't have any problems getting to 3.5-4.0Ghz, and you've got good cooling so u should be fine, nice system, thanks for watching
got asus prove 2 and prime 95 but all games run nice at max settings crysiss etc so i think no need right now :) but i got no "imba" cooling so cant get my up at 4 stable so maybe 3-3,5? :D
@AIeexx yeah its not a bad CPU, if it can play Crysis it can handle any thing haha, on stock cooling u could go to 3.2-3.5Ghz also depending on case cooling, but u should do ok, ive got mine to 3.5Ghz stock voltage and only about 2-3c temp gain so nothing to worry about, thanks for watching appreciate it !
no i didn't use the stock cooler, the Intel stock cooler is so small there would be no real way possible to get that high of an over clock, im using the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, Thanks !
depending on case cooler but you should probably be able to hit 3.0Ghz-3.2Ghz with out the temps getting to high, with a decent board u should be able to stay on stock voltage to
Dude, I just got my i7 up to 5Ghz! I bought the Corsair Obsidian case the other day and while I was putting my parts in I decided to screw around with it a little. The temperature rose nearly 10 degrees though.
But so far it's been running stable. I'm gonna let it run like this for a few days to see what it does. If it stays running well, I'm leaving it at 5GHz.. If I have any major temp issues I'm dropping back down to 4.6. Overclocking voids the warranty, if I fry it, I'm totally fucked. :S
right now the thermal sensors on the core's r stuck, but with the cpu cooler under manual control the cpu idles about 12-16c and max load about 28-31c was the max
no just using a mid range cpu cooler, my thermal sensors on the cpu cores r stuck so that sucks, right now ive got the cooler under manual control, seem to be a common issue with the " RO " stepping version, but my pc runs pretty cool, the hottest the cpu got it self was 30c and the house was warm, its just hard to get it stable because u dont want to fry the cpu with to much voltage, thanks 4 watching
Nice man i O/C my cpu to 3.1ghz but the stock cooling can't handle it and after a few mins i had to change to back because it was getting to high in temp :(
no im not using the stock cooler, im using the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, it runs pretty good, it can handle games, even games like crysis etc. but u would need a decent card, but other then that this cpu is great, thanks for watching
yea that wouldn't be a problem, u can reach that on stock voltage from 2.6, maybe if u can change the thermal paste because that would make a huge difference, this cpu is a good over clocker, right now at 3.6Ghz stable
nekem tök ugyanaz az alaplapom meg a procim mint neked, és nekem most 3.25GHZ-en van. Ez egy jó proci:D
