You're not kidding! These bigger ones that go sailing by aren't TOO hard but those smaller, fast flitty ones are nearly impossible to keep in frame - like your diving hummingbirds vid - just point the camera in the general direction and hope you can catch a short bit of the subject in frame!
Just don't delete any clips you shoot until you review them real closely! I am always stunned at some of the things I capture that I had not even noticed when I filmed it. I'm sure you've had the same experience.

I happen to know how HARD it is to track a butterfly (note that I don't have any butterfly videos!) Really nice work.
