  • I´m a lillte confused. would the world end if the light turned of, or would the island just sink:)?

  • Hey Carmel, great reviews, all professional and good to watch, thank you very much for sharing us your ideas and thoughts about lost.

    About my unanswered questions:

    1) who built the four foot statue, light house and the temple?

    2) what´s the deal with walt? why is he special?

    3) what´s the deal with the cabine? lived jacob there, why the ash circle?

    4) why didn´t smokey kill eko the first time? why does it make mechanical noises?

    5) what´s the infection?

    Regards and really appriciate you!!

  • I think the ending was so "churchy" because it was from the point of view of Jack, whom I assume to be a christian. It was the place for him to reunite with the others. Maybe the place looked different from Sayids or from Jin and Suns perspective. Let's face it, on the other side anything's possible.

  • @FindLostWithCarmel

Unanswered question: What happened to Annie, Ben's childhood friend?

  • I like your thoughts on the finale. I'm glad its subjective because i find that more satisyfing than the answers being spelled out.

  • BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I want to point out something about Sayid and Shanon.

earlier this season sayid told Flock that the one thing he truly wanted died in his arms - and if you rewatch - you will understand that he talks about Shanon - she litterally died in his arms after Anna-Lucia shot her.

  • @RoeyTNT that is true about both sayid's women. he held nadia on the road after she got hit by a car and she died in his arms too.

  • Nice review. :)

The unanswered things that bug me the most are the cabin (the ash creates the most confusion) and whether John Locke actually blew up the submarine. He was wet...and there was a very clear shot of him looking around for someone.

  • @fido815 lock blew up the sub. it may have been confusing visually but clear narrative-wise. it was talked about a few times in the next episode too.

  • Great final thoughts on the finale. Thanks Carmen.

  • also, why did Herly saw dead people? Miles too.... Why were Locke and Rose cured on the island?(Magnetic power is not a proper explanation). What about the wheel that Ben and Locke rotated and the island moved through time? Water mixes with light and we have time travel??! Why was the smoke making mechanical sounds, y they said it "judges" and HOW on earth the man in black got in the Light and came out as smoke? What about the huge Statue and all the "Egyptian Style" writings in the temple...

  • @Alex29787 lost IS a fantasy show. that light was the light of life and was electro magnetic. exposure to it came with unexpected consequences. the island cured you when you were on your path and made you sick when you weren't (ben's tumor, jack's appendices). they were trying to create a frame that is both scientific and mythic. i see no problem with a mysterious light of creation that is also unique scientific matter, in fact it makes sense.

  • the only part i disagree with you is the one with the water that Jacob gave to Jack, and Jack to Hugo. It's obvious that Jacob stopped aging after drinking the very same water his "mother" gave him and we don't know why... no one explained. How could he revive people (John Locke when his father threw him from the window)? Many thing are left unaswered, i don't know why, maybe they ran out of money, but who built the temple and why? Why did Sayid, Ben etc resurrected and y were they "Evil"?

  • I've looked forward to your episode review for two seasons now. I'm gonna miss them. No right or wrong. Just you, telling us what you saw. Always insightful and delightful. Thanks Carmel.

  • nice aladdin voice, arabian nights mothafucka

  • I dont get the entire ending with Jack dying, I thought that if you went down into the light it was "worse then dying". Thats where Jacobs brother became the smoke monster, so why did Jack not become the smoke monster 2.0 when he was down there.

The light killed Jacob's brother's body, but Jack was unaffected by the light, he was able to get up and walk into the bamboo and die from what seemed to me be from the stab wound

  • Contrary to a sizeable portion of the interwebs Lost fandom [i.e. not those that casually watched the show] my only remaining nagging question was about the cabin. Yes, it was obviously the Man in Black in there [or 'Samuel', as a post-finale titbit confirmed he was going to be called at some stage] - but how long before the crash of Oceanic 815 was he trapped there? Who broke the ash circle and when? Was it just a portion of his human soul trapped there [as the monster was always around]?

  • This made me laugh.

  • GREAT one Carmel!

My Q I want to be answer is: What exactly is the Loophole?

It might have been answered but i Prob missed it, If so, I have another one:

    What are the Rules?

Im sure that some Rules appeared Partly, like the rule about Desmond ("Someone affected the way you see things...this is a violation")

but if in Rewatch you can find another rules and extrect them accurately It will be Perfectly Perfect :)

  • @dorfid i will answer the loophole in the next podcast. as for the rules i said how i see it in this one: we set the rules! Desmond ignored the rules and formed new ones. these are the variables :-)

  • I am really glad I stumbled upon your videos, and then I subscribed way back when. I don't mean to say it as a good-bye since I plan on watching your theories, but you really enhanced a show I already loved--even when I didn't agree with a theory. I say it now because, if not now, when?

    Thank, Carmel!

  • @furiousdan thanx!

  • Carmel, thanx for all your videos I always enjoyed watching. Looking forward to new ones!!! You made a lot of nice points here. :)

  • @rosapelvit thanx!

  • i just have 1 question did juliet make the " purgatory" when she hit the bomb? if not does that make season 5 a waste of time? xx

  • @Devalera23 No. Juliet hit the bomb which created the incident which send our Losties in their own time. The flash sideways was a cool trick to make us believe that the bomb reset everything.

  • @SpongebobDI yes the flash sent them to 2007 but it was still "whatever happened happened" for dharma days, that was "the incident"

  • @Devalera23 it doesn't make season 5 a waste of time, because we got to see what happened in dharma time, and in the future for our losties, their trip to get to the end.

  • @Devalera23 it seems the purgatory was created anyway. their attempt to reset through the bomb just created "the incident" that already happened (whatever happened happened). S5 was about "we are the cause of our own suffering" - the losties and Juliette created the incident and created ben and created the need for a hatch...

  • @FindLostWithCarmel Ahh i see! Thanks me and my friends couldnt understand that! man, im so sad its all over :(

  • ur awesome

  • @Devalera23 thanx!
