Typical Huckabee. He says he doesn't support the ad but then chimes in saying he doubts McCain would choose Romney because of "deep philosophical differences".
No one can stab someone in the back with a smile the way Huckabee can.
If only Mitt had been our nominee. It wasn't meant to be this time, maybe in 2012. By then we may have to have someone who can return us to limited government.
Stark contrast between Huckabee and Romney. Romney is selflessly serving the Republican Party and conservatives across this nation, while the Huckster is selfishly serving himself and his lust for power and recognition. What an attention whore. Also, the Huck supporters have no class compared to Romney supporters. Actions speak for themselves, and I'm glad I was able to see it in this light. It has only made everything more clear.
You foolish, uneducated Huckabee followers,do you honestly think a Mormon man stands for gay marriage, and abortion????????????????????????????That is like the made up story of a woman held captive in the Mormon temple and then jumped out into the Salt lake! THAT LAKE IS 20 MILES AWAY!!!! If you want to look for truth, picture yourself with Obama as president and the probable HELL on earth that would be!!!!!!!
Huckabee is not only getting a job at Fox as a political analyst, he is getting his own political show! He will be high profile til his next run. He will gain great foreign policy experience interviewing all these politicans. Huckabee is pure grassroots and we are on fire for him!!! Strong and growing....
What's up with the Huckster getting a "contributor" job at Fox News of all places?!? He sickens me! Every time I see his goofy, hillbilly face, I'd like to smash it in.
How about Huckabees negative ad against Romney that was cleared to air - didnt air - but aired for the press? And Huckabees Christmas ad with the floating cross? Ed Rollins, former Huckabee campaign manager, has admitted that the floating cross and negative ad that wasnt etc., were all really ploys to get free media - which means that HUCKABEE WAS LYING ALL ALONG.
In 2006, when Huckabee was governor of Arkansas the Cato Institute gave him an F on his term for several reasons; chief among them insisting on raising taxes at almost every turn throughout his final term. The article notes that Huckabee was the only presidential candidate AGAINST school choice
And what was Governor Huckabees response to these ethics allegations? Rather than cooperating with investigators, Huckabee sued the state ethics commission twice and attempted to shut the ethics process down.
Do you remember why Huckabee was #6 on Judicial Watchs list of the Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians of 2007? Huckabees career has been colored by 14 ethics complaints and a volley of questions about his integrity, ranging from his management of campaign cash to his use of a nonprofit organization to subsidize his income to his destruction of state computer files on his way out of the governors office.
Huckabee was not responsible for this ad. Romney has "honesty" issues and has changed his mind one too many times for these leaders to believe him to be credible. What Romney is doing now, is trying to weave himself the best postion for 2012! We are not dumb. These leaders don't want him on the ticket...period. Nothing to do with Huckabee. Huckabee spent 1/10 the $ as Romney, finished in 2nd place, what he did was miraculous.
To: nrobyar -- you really need to do your homework. Romney was my former gov. His record speaks for itself and so does Huckabee's... The Huckster is a lying fraud who hides behing being such a pious, religious man, but he has done so many unethical things, I can't keep track. Some Christian. I'll take Mitt the Mormon anyday!!!
haha, thanks for the compliment. When people resort to name calling they've already lost. My grievance is NOT against you. I know I've called Romney a whole load of names but I really can't stand the guy. But there's no reason why I should call you names. :)
I can't believe anyone would ever make an issue out of this, but Huckabee DOES have a degree in "Religion and Biblical Studies". And the guy was a minister for what, 10 years? I can't see HOW this would even compare to Mitt Romney's "I saw my Father march with Martin Luther King jr." or "I'm a lifelong hunter." or "I got the NRA endorsement" all of which were blatant INTENTIONAL lies.
Well, I don't want to open up the topics too much, but really, I don't get the logic in your pro-gay argument (I get the attack on Huckabee, but NOT your reasoning). So a person either believes that HIV victims should be locked up- or they're pro-gay? It's one or the other? All gays have HIV? All HIV patients are gay? The only issue regarding gays is HIV? I'm sorry but that was simplistic and REALLY weak (If you don't want to answer this in order to not widen the discussion topic, that's OK)
You can't "fathom" forcing a rape/incest victim to have their child, but you CAN fathom murdering the unborn child? What crime did the child do? It looks lie you "throw out the baby with the bathwater"! Your cure is worse than the ill!
to: michigan83guerrilla -- your comments makes absolutely no sense. The CHILD that's being aborted doesn't have a CHOICE. I used to be "pro choice" until I learned about what's really involved. It's MURDER! And I'm sure your choice for pres. is Obama -- he supports PARTIAL BIRTH ABORTION -- google what's involved..it's disgusting.
A fiscal conservative? Then why did he strongly oppose the Bush tax cuts? Why did he REFUSE to sign a no new taxes pledge as governor? Why did he want to keep raising minimum wage (as governor)? ALL these positions he reversed as soon as he started running for president (typical Romney) but he held to them as governor. Are these the signs of a fiscal conservative for you?
yeah, I stand by my fiscal conservative comment. He campaigned against tax increases as a governor, he didn't increase taxes. He didn't sign because the no new taxes group was also socially conservative which he wasn't at the time.
He favored the Bush tax cuts, it was McCain that initially voted against them.
Yes, Romney is a fiscal conservative. ENDORSED by the fiscally conservative PACs.
"Governor Mitt Romney refused yesterday to endorse tax cuts at the heart of President Bush's economic program...In addition to refusing to endorse the president's tax cut, the governor surprised several people at the meeting by saying he is open to a federal increase in gas taxes."
Boston Globe, 4/11/02
You see? He DID NOT support the Bush tax cuts at the time.
And he raised fees by a WHOLE lot while governor. Romney didn't call them taxes, but the people who paid them sure did, I assure you!
"[Romney]endorsed embryonic stem cell research, saying the controversial science might one day help treat his wife's multiple sclerosis...."I am in favor of stem cell research. I will work and fight for stem cell research. I'd be happy to talk to [President Bush] about this, though I don't know if I could budge him an inch."
Boston Globe, 6/14/02
That's an exact quote. Your quote is genuine too, but the thing is, you can always find a Romney quote either for or against ANY issue out there.
I have never doubted that romney was all those things in theory but when it came to PRACTICE he wasn't. You have denied that he governed as a conservative. Huckster and his followers have also, it is untrue. He did what reagon, bush and hyde did. A common thing in the ruling class of the republican party.
are we not allowed ONE conversion during our lifetime?
What did Huckster say on women, AIDS victims, gays, and Mormons. I know he wants at least one of those back.
So you see, you were wrong about embryonic stem-cell research too (Romney WAS in favor of it at one point but flipped, surprised anyone?). But if you're really prochoice, progay, and pro stem cell research then it's no wonder you supported Romney. You didn't expect him to keep his promises on his new conversions either. I can see why. He never has before, why would he now?
He's flipped on every issue period. Social and otherwise. And of course your allowed ONE conversion, but Romney's had a dozen! And all of them right before elections! And if you're converted, you must have time to show it. Romney campaigned and governed one way, and then shifted his position on EVERY issue and campaigned for president with NO time in between! (disgusting!) And you ARE allowed one conversion, but Romney keeps going back and forth. That's not a conversion, that's a convenience!
my overall point is that Huckster and his supporters have done nothing but try and divide the party.
Campaigning until the very end?? WTF? Ron Paul would be proud of that.
Then he said he would "do everything he could to unite the party" all he and his supporters have done since is divide the party. "if you don't elect my man we will sit out the election" "I don't want the Mormon or Jew candidate as VP, we won't vote for them"
Have you seen the Huckster campaign for John McCain?
Huckabee HAS been campaigning for John McCain, but he HASN'T been sucking up to him begging to be his running mate (like Mitt Phoney.) And by the way, my extreme distaste for Romney has NOTHING to do with his Mormonism. The reason that I detest Romney, is because I deeply despise ANY politician that has proven over and over again that they are unprincipled, pandering, spineless, flip-flopping, deceitful, lying crooks, no matter WHAT religion they profess.
Huckabee is garbage. I am a conservative, and if Huck is in, I'm out. The only "conservatives" he commands are the religious sheep that will do as they are told. Huckabee is a fraud, a disgrace, and no conservative I know want's him. He is not a conservative...he is a liberal republican.
Romney spent a lot of money to get his message out.
The Huckster had the evangelical churches campaign for him. In November and December most Evangelicals churches had sermons on the evils of having a non-Christian be President and a sermon on Mormons not being Christian.
That was the surprise Rev. Sharpton was talking about for Romney.
In my opinion this is illegal and morally bankrupt. All this does is turn people off to Christianity. The Huckster at his best!!
If Romney's so good with money, then why did he pay 20 times what Huckabee did to get his delegates? It's not that difficult to make more money when you have a bunch of it to start with.
Romney has said several things to get elected in a Liberal state, but check his record. He has consistantly conservative. His governing record has never 'flipped'. In a state where all the pressure was from the left you can bet Mitt will never govern more to the left than he did there. THAT is why the liberals in Mass. hate him! Go figure Liberals hate a strong conservative. Remember, even Social conservatives have Liberal friends that love to spread rumors about their enemies. Don't listen
Consistently conservative? Who, Romney? The LAST word in the English language that would truthfully describe Romney would be "consistent"! Mitt Romney is the most corrupt, unprincipled, splineless, flip-flopping, elitist, aristocratic, decietful, lying, crooked, pandering, phony, Massacheusets liberal to ever seek the Republican (and maybe even the Democrat) nomination ever. And of course he's "flipped"! Many, many times! He ran as a staunchly pro-infanticide ("pro-choice") candidate, remember?
Mitt Romney changed only once?! And in the face of polls that showed differently?! Right. You're living in lala land or some universe of your own fancy if you think that! Look, with Mitt Phoney's record, YOU'RE the one who needs to show me even ONE major issue on which Mitt's been consistent and not changed his position at least once! He's flip-flopped on everything! But go ahead, answer a few questions for me please (I can't believe you would want to defend someone else's lies and hypocrisy.)
Did Mitt receive the endorsement of the NRA (like he lied that he did on Meet the Press)? Did Mitt "see" his father march with Martin Luther King jr. (even though it never happened)? Is Mitt more "pro-gay" then Ted Kennedy (he vowed he would be)? Is Mitt a lifelong hunter(like he lied he was)? Is Mitt for or against a constitutional "pro-life" amendment (He's said both "Yes" and "No" while debating and campaigning)? Is he for stem-cell research (even he must be confused by now on this one)?
He got an endorsment from the NRA, as well as from Liz Cheney, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, and tons more!
His father was a part of the civil rights marches, even if it wasn't DIRECTLY with M.L.K.jr. (He was there in spirit!) So, essentially, he was telling the truth!
Hardly comparable. Reagan was pro-life for more then a decade before becoming president. Romney just barely switched before running (switched again, that is, because he's gone back and forth on the issues all his life depending on where he wanted to run and on what he thought would help him most).
Hardly comparable. Reagan was pro-life for more then a decade before becoming president. Romney just barely switched before running (switched again, that is, because he's gone back and forth on the issues all his life depending on where he wanted to run and on what he thought would help him most).
But running as pro-infanticide (pro-abortion) is NOT Romney's main problem. It's that he'll run as ANYTHING he thinks he needs to in order to get elected. He's pandered and flipped so much that he's really the most disgusting candidate EVER to run for the nomination of either party (worse even then the Clintons because one expects that kind of filth from their side anyway.)
I think you are confused. Romney ran Prochoice for Governor but as soon as he was elected he ran prolife. Tried to stop gay marriage, stopped embryonic stem cell research, and tried to stop abortion. so 10 years as prolife is acceptable to you but 4 years is not. That sounds like you are only after Romney and don't care about anything else.
I know the Huckster supporters would have you believe different but that is the truth.
I'm confused? Yes. ANYONE who tries to follow Romney's policy positions will be VERY confused. He "tried" to stop gay marriage? Are you kidding? He vowed to be more "pro-gay" then Ted Kennedy, remember?! He was in favor of embryonic stem cell research (as governor) and said he would even like to change Bush's mind about it. Can you name even ONE major issue on which Romney has been consistent? On which he hasn't changed his view in order to pander?
"Romney ran Prochoice for Governor but as soon as he was elected he ran prolife."
Really? Then what a deceitful lying crooked fraud he was!! Is that what he was going to do with everything else he promised too, change his mind as soon as he was elected president? I don't doubt it!!
Abortion is NOT the only issue. It's gay rights, embryonic stem cell research, Immigration policy, gun rights, taxes, minimum wage, and virtualy EVERY major issue out there: Romney has changed his positions on all those issues. He doesn't believe ANYTHING or stand for ANYTHING that's inconvenient for him politicaly.
Not so. If you don't know what the Huckster is doing, you really shouldn't claim that you do. Check out HuckPAC and rethink your statement. Romney is handsome, intelligent, articulate, and wealthy. But indecisiveness is not what we need in a president.
Chukmaty, If your as big a puss as Chuck Norris who I lost all respect for during the campaign then you just might be a redneck. Hey Chukmaty read a book! And learn something for yourself. Maybe you won't be such a damn ignorant fool with no brains and nothing to offer society. That's right your worthless. Romney not only is intelligent but he was the only one on the ticket who could turn our economy around, but ignorant fools like yourself smeared him for something of naught.
Huck and his crew look awfully juvenile and pathetic with this move. They've got nothing better to do than to go anti on the guy they could do nothing but wage an anti campaign against.
It's never been about the issues between Huck and Mitt. Huck always hides behind his smear groups. Way to go, agents of intolerance!
obviously romney is alot better than huckabee...considering huckabee didnt even come close to winning. i swear he only ran because he was a baptist, and he wanted to compete against a mormon.
What a joke, Huckabee is a good and decent man...I will not vote for Mc Cain though with Romney on the ticket...the man sends our jobs overseas...he's an opportunist...He has flip flopped on so many issues...Huckabee should have been the nominee and hopefully will be in 2012...Fairtax, border security, the values that made our country great in the first place...That is what Huckabee stands for...do not let the media choose your president...research Huckabee...Vote Huckabee 08!!!
The Media WANTED huckabee! They did everything they could to get him as the rep. nominee. they settled for McCain. Huckabee was called the 'media darling' because the slanted so far towards him. The media hated Romney. Check the number of positive and negative stories on the two. try google. I love huckabee's stance on the fairtax, but don't try and say he wasn't picked because of the media.
Typical Huckabee. He says he doesn't support the ad but then chimes in saying he doubts McCain would choose Romney because of "deep philosophical differences".

He ran as a staunchly pro-infanticide ("pro-choice") candidate, remember?
reaganchurchill 3 years ago
No, you idiot. He's CHANGED HIS MIND. HE CHANGED ONLY ONCE. WHEN THE POLLS WERE FAVORING HIM STAYING THE COURSE.
Of course, if he IS a flip-flopper, prove it with something I can't shoot down.
GalacticKnight 3 years ago
Mitt Romney changed only once?! And in the face of polls that showed differently?! Right. You're living in lala land or some universe of your own fancy if you think that! Look, with Mitt Phoney's record, YOU'RE the one who needs to show me even ONE major issue on which Mitt's been consistent and not changed his position at least once! He's flip-flopped on everything! But go ahead, answer a few questions for me please (I can't believe you would want to defend someone else's lies and hypocrisy.)
reaganchurchill 3 years ago
PROVE IT. SHOW ME A VID. He's been consistant on the Economy, Immigration, and the War!
GalacticKnight 3 years ago
Did Mitt receive the endorsement of the NRA (like he lied that he did on Meet the Press)? Did Mitt "see" his father march with Martin Luther King jr. (even though it never happened)? Is Mitt more "pro-gay" then Ted Kennedy (he vowed he would be)? Is Mitt a lifelong hunter(like he lied he was)? Is Mitt for or against a constitutional "pro-life" amendment (He's said both "Yes" and "No" while debating and campaigning)? Is he for stem-cell research (even he must be confused by now on this one)?
reaganchurchill 3 years ago
He got an endorsment from the NRA, as well as from Liz Cheney, Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity, and tons more!
His father was a part of the civil rights marches, even if it wasn't DIRECTLY with M.L.K.jr. (He was there in spirit!) So, essentially, he was telling the truth!
He changed his mind on gays. And abortion. Once.
He is not for embyonic cell reasearch.

REAGANCHURCHILL,
did reagan ever run as a proabortion candidate?
omiolo 3 years ago
Hardly comparable. Reagan was pro-life for more then a decade before becoming president. Romney just barely switched before running (switched again, that is, because he's gone back and forth on the issues all his life depending on where he wanted to run and on what he thought would help him most).

Romney means no vote from me

But running as pro-infanticide (pro-abortion) is NOT Romney's main problem. It's that he'll run as ANYTHING he thinks he needs to in order to get elected. He's pandered and flipped so much that he's really the most disgusting candidate EVER to run for the nomination of either party (worse even then the Clintons because one expects that kind of filth from their side anyway.)
reaganchurchill 3 years ago
Reaganchurchill,
I think you are confused.
I know the Huckster supporters would have you believe different but that is the truth.
omiolo 3 years ago

I don't doubt it!!
reaganchurchill 3 years ago
Reaganchurchill,
Henry Hyde, Ronald Reagon, and George Bush each did the samething. so knock it off.
and you knew full well he governed prolife, so quit the deceiving.
omiolo 3 years ago
Abortion is NOT the only issue. It's gay rights, embryonic stem cell research, Immigration policy, gun rights, taxes, minimum wage, and virtualy EVERY major issue out there: Romney has changed his positions on all those issues. He doesn't believe ANYTHING or stand for ANYTHING that's inconvenient for him politicaly.

The Huckster pledged to help unite the party. Even after he loses he and his supporters are still attacking MITT.
MITT and his supporters help republicans get elected.
Huckster and his supporters try to tear apart the party if they don't get what they want.
Who would you want as your party leader?
omiolo 3 years ago

Romney not only is intelligent but he was the only one on the ticket who could turn our economy around, but ignorant fools like yourself smeared him for something of naught.
msmoot1 3 years ago
Huck and his crew look awfully juvenile and pathetic with this move. They've got nothing better to do than to go anti on the guy they could do nothing but wage an anti campaign against.
It's never been about the issues between Huck and Mitt. Huck always hides behind his smear groups. Way to go, agents of intolerance!

Romney sucks...

obviously romney is alot better than huckabee...considering huckabee didnt even come close to winning. i swear he only ran because he was a baptist, and he wanted to compete against a mormon.
thats silly...

What a joke, Huckabee is a good and decent man...I will not vote for Mc Cain though with Romney on the ticket...the man sends our jobs overseas...he's an opportunist...He has flip flopped on so many issues...Huckabee should have been the nominee and hopefully will be in 2012...Fairtax, border security, the values that made our country great in the first place...That is what Huckabee stands for...do not let the media choose your president...research Huckabee...Vote Huckabee 08!!!
westernillstud 3 years ago
The Media WANTED huckabee! They did everything they could to get him as the rep. nominee. they settled for McCain. Huckabee was called the 'media darling' because the slanted so far towards him. The media hated Romney. Check the number of positive and negative stories on the two. try google. I love huckabee's stance on the fairtax, but don't try and say he wasn't picked because of the media.
