  • The recording that Oscar refers to is an absolutely amazing collaberation between Oscar and Nelson Riddle. It is an lp on the Verve label and was recorded sometime in the early 60's. This song and Come Sunday make the album a true collector's item. Such warmth and expression are priceless. God Bless you Oscar. I miss you,

  • I was actually looking for a recorded live version of Goodman doing it but this will more than "do". lol Thanks.

  • I think my favorite O.P. tune is whichever one I happen to be listening to at the time.

  • one of my favorite jazz records of all time.

it is the supreme wailing of the soul. outstanding technique innovative harmonies and an original sound from a genius.

  • For me, the best music is the music that defies my analytical reflex. I hear Oscar Peterson play and my ears barricade themselves from my brain. Unbelieveable.

  • That was an absolutely incredible comment my friend, and I cannot agree more. Out of this world.

  • This is my favorite Oscar Peterson piece here on Youtoube.

  • This is one beautiful piece yes - but my all time from my Mentor Oscar will always be Hymn To Freedom, his anthem as far as I'm concerned. But yes - this is just incredible isn't it!
