The same people who put out a poll on homosexuality and Gay marriage and then refused to publish the results when it didn't come out the way they wanted it.
This entire video is committing the Ad Populum fallacy. Just because a majority thinks something, doesn't make it right or true. The majority of people used to think the earth was flat, until science came along. The majority of people used to think slavery was acceptable, until the Civil War.
If anything, this videos shows how successfully religion has been indoctrinating children.

@kyekire "I see no fault in saying that god caused evolution to be a law of nature"
Evolution is actually a law of mathematics. If you have replication with modification and some means of selection or competition, evolution is inevitable. It's basic probability theory.
Yes but not every word of it. Do most American Christians believe that blacks and women are inferior, or that slavery is ok, or that children should be stoned to death because of things they say, or that everyone magically appeared 10000 years ago. The answer is no, in fact I've never in real life met a christian who didn't believe evolution, most Christians aren't as radical or extreme as you say.
@kyekire Every word of it. Nore do they believe that about black or women, nor by the way, do they believe one group of people are inherenly more intelligent than another as atheists perport. That sort of non-sense was applied to blacks in times past.
This is not just an atheists view though these results I told you are real facts, I'm not denying anything I'm just telling you that your poll is clearly incorrect and other non biased poles are more accurate. At any rate I'd consider the average European more intelligent than the average American. Evolution is a fact that cannot be argued no matter what point of view you have. And 75% of Europeans believe in evolution.
Uhm did you not read my comment. I said that your poles are highly inaccurate. According to all legitimate poles the most accurate numbers are 39 in favor of evolution 26 against evolution and 25 undecided. So you are wrong in saying that most of America discredits evolution. And even if they did over 99% of all people in the scientific community believe evolution, and the majority of Europe does as well.
@kyekire atheists are nortorious for denial, half-truths, misrepresentation of facts, out right lies and counting on people's ignorance in any given area to gain some advantage. They are welcome to their worldview, be it here in America where most people aren't buying it, or anywhere else, including Europe.
You're numbers are in accurate most all polls have been corroborated to find that 39% believe in evolution, 26% don't, and 25% are unsure, get ur numbers correct next time and use legitimate polls. Evolution is a fact that is a funtemental basis for all life science. Creationism has been debunked for years. If you reject evolution then you're just and ignorant religious nutcase.
@kyekire The atheist community is welcome to its own worldview, be it in the sciences, religion, politics or anything else. That's the point of the facts presented in the video. Most Amercans just aren't buying what the atheist intelligentsia is selling.
Science isn't decided by popular vote. The reason science has been so successful is that scientific theories are based on facts and evidence.
Science is testable. The theories that aren't supported by facts are rejected.
Proponents of intelligent design can only point to biological systems and say "I don't understand how that could have evolved". In every such case, biologists have figured out how the system could have evolved and in many cases their hypotheses have been confirmed by evidence.
@AThagoras The point is atheists does'nt get to think all of that or anything else for that matter, through for the everyone else. People do. We can see for ourselves when science or anything else is right or wrong about anything, without the atheist community deciding. It's not "popular vote" but people thinking and deciding for themselves what the evidence for anything says about a matter, not eitists
@mrtadreamer "The point is atheists does'nt get to think all of that or anything else for that matter, through for the everyone else."
Huh? Science is not atheism.
Science is based on facts and evidence. If you want to understand why scientists accept the theory of evolution, all you have to do is to read. Much of the evidence is available on the Internet.
@AThagoras The video simply shows that the atheistic intelligentsia in the education system isn't having its way with most Americans The rest of us DO read, and decide for ourselves what is valid or not. Be it in the field of science or anything else.
@mrtadreamer "The video simply shows that the atheistic intelligentsia in the education system isn't having its way with most Americans"
No it just shows how ignorant Americans are and how badly the education system is failing.
It's utterly amazing that anyone takes intelligent design seriously. It's been thoroughly debunked. It was even obvious to the right wing Bush appointed judge at the Dover trial that ID was not science. It was proven that it is just creationism repackaged.
You're so foolish, like most other religion freaks. You have no solid proof of your gods. You believe majority votes dictate whether something is true or not.
I could say I have a watermelon. And the entire world could say that's not true. But it's possible that I may have a watermelon. Correct?
@MurderInTheCourt The point of that evidence presented, is the atheist community doesn't get to dictate to everyone else what is right or wrong,or true or not. You don't get to make all the dicisions for everone else. You like to say, "think for your self", every one does that, that's why God gave humans minds, so we do, and not what atheists tell us what to think. That's one of the reasons no one likes atheists. kudos.
@mrtadreamer "the atheist community doesn't get to dictate to everyone else what is right or wrong,or true or not."
Most atheists I know are very much against anyone dictating what is right or wrong or what is true. That's why we are against religion. We prefer reality over dogma. we tend to like science because science is not dogmatic. Scientists accept whatever the evidence indicates even if it doesn't fit into their preconceived ideas.
Evolution = multiple experiments and scientific findings documented by people of all faiths and lackthereof.
Intelligent design = Not a single scientific finding. Not one.
So a telephone survey by the discovery institute would only point to a lack of education the public has on the subject. It also doesn't tell us how many of those people accepted evolution, but believe God is the overall creator of everything.
Haha. Goes to show that reality is not democratic. If I had a male rabbit, and asked a bunch of people what gender it was, even if a majority said it was female, it would still, nonetheless, be a male rabbit.
And the Discovery Institute, are you kidding me??

I see no fault in saying that god caused evolution to be a law of nature but to say that it doesn't happen is just stupid.

The U.S is 60% Christian. However only 22% of Christians believe in creationism. There are then some Jews and Muslims who believe in creationism too.
