  • Oh, THAT one. Yes I most certainly do know where it is now. Holyoke never had the truck. The WSFD purchased the truck in late 2000, early 2001 and it served as West Springfield Engine 4 until 2007 when the ALF's came in and this E-One became E4. The Duplex, while serving West Springfield had no end of mechanical, electrical, and pump problems and soon began to be a money pit in terms of repair costs. The truck was sold to a scrap yard in 2007 for $7,500 and subsiquently chopped up for scrap.

  • Sorry, I actually meant the west springfield engine 4 that was before this one. It was I believe a 1976 duplex/farrar refurbed in 1993. seekonk sold it in 1999, then I think it went to holyoke then to west springfield. Any idea where it is now?

  • Sorry Geforce, but your info is wrong. This E-One hush was bought brand new by the WSFD in 1990. Sadly, she suffered a mechanical breakdown in 2009 and has since been scrapped to the best of my knowledge.

  • Does West Springfield still have the Engine 4 which was also Seekonk's old Engine 4?

  • I seen my apt...

  • Not a bad old truck! Is it still in use today?

  • Yes it is. She has been replaced by a 2007 ALF Eagle 75 ft. Rearmount Quint, but this 1990 E-one is still with the department as Engine 4. I thought she had been disposed of, but it turns out, she was just on loan for several months to a neighboring department while their engine was down with a busted booster tank.
