  • LOL rent-a-gaijin

  • I wish those actors were a real couple, because they were both very good looking T_T xD

  • 0:58 balloons in a balloon :O

    BALLOONCEPTION

  • lol "there's that damn clown"

so do they have cocktail hour in Japan? and i take it they don't do the whole "father gives the bride away" either?

  • my sister got married 3 days go. we also used bubbles too :) . were mexicans and she got merriad with a white guy Thumbs Up!!. we live in the US. I got a question to they a crazy after party like in the US. with crazy mexican, techno, hip hop music dances and shit in Japan?? cus that will be awesome so i can get married in Japan ;)

  • Ô_< If i had my say, all wedding ceremonies would be changed into something completely unrecognizable from... Well, whatever custom you're used to ;P First thing first; rid yourself of that damn priest! What do you need HIM for if you're an atheist? What else... Hm... Now... This is a fun thought, why have i never had it before? *laughs evilly while planning non-court-non-religious wedding ceremony* They've got an idea with that clown, i think.

  • So what about a traditional Japanese wedding ? You talked about the white wedding & the modern Japanese wedding but not a Traditional Wedding.

  • you and your lady look like you have a lot of fun together, I wish you the best of luck!

I started checking out the wedding videos you have up because my friend just modeled for a bridal expo. they had bubbles at the expo , but when they pop, or if you pop them vapor comes out, like a little smokey bubble, very cool, no clowns though. ha ha.

  • That was cute at the end. I was wondering do they have bridesmaid/groomsmen in Japan? I did not see any and didn't know if that was just because it was a demo wedding or because they just don't do that.

  • @MoonKitten630

    No, they don't usually..

  • "Land of Hope and Glory" is normally played at graduations (high school and collage) here in the states. Odd to hear it at a wedding... xD

  • The Clown cracked me too i thought it was funny lol

  • Hahaha the Clown cracked me up :D:D

But it could be worse, at least hes not a funeralclown XD

  • a clown at a wedding hahahaha

  • Yeah I really doubt that guy was a real priest. They usually don't just go charging up the alter that way.

  • hehe it's the graduation theme song :)

  • and i thought the west was commercialised....

  • so did you have that clown at your wedding?

  • so weird indeed!

  • lol lovely picture of your wife :D

  • I don't know how you manage to film at such places where it's not usual... And not only in this video, but on others too! Thanks for your effort.

  • i literally stared at the balloon within the balloon for like 10 min... its sooo fascinating!~

  • Awesome. A demonstration of wedding bliss in Japan. Much love.

  • How many times these actors got married???

  • cmon let us see her xD

  • the end is so cool xD

  • one word for that BIZZARRE!!!

is your wedding going to be like that dude?! its like they have taken all the showy bits out of an english/christian wedding and mashed them up...clown was very odd though .maybe one of the organisers went to a posh english wedding where they have a clown at the reception to entertain the children?

mmmm whens your big day, next month is it?..hope we get to see more of your mrs then!

  • @princesslisa31

    Mine will be different :-)

I try to keep this channel about Japan rather than about me (or the mrs!)

Enough people on youtube making videos about themselves already :-)

  • I am gonna try and find a traditional wedding on here now without being duped into watching porno again!shockin good job the kids wernt in the room lol

  • NOW I know why my marriage didn't work out.....I FORGOT THE CLOWN!!!

    Seriously folks...

Did you hear the one about.........

A Priest, a clown and a Gaijin walk into

a bar...the bartender looks at them and

asks "What is this...some kind of joke?"

    great video

  • @bbum999

    Funny :-)

  • Comment removed

  • Your lady looks a bit pale

  • Wow... that was not the Westernised wedding I had pictured.... lol

With all the mixes and Christian influences as such... is this pretty much like a civil wedding instead?

  • @m3andchip5

    yes

  • I was loling over the fact that Jupiter was playing when they kissed. How random.

  • @catanaition

yeah, i was like WTF Holtz?!

  • Tanoshikattayo~~~ She said.

    Dattebayo~~ I said. ^_^

  • @Toops144

    Video coming on that ^-^

  • 4 stars for weird wedding.

and 1 star for your partner's real face for once :)

  • @numloxx

Her face is on a couple of videos..

but I wont tell which ones :-)

  • I've seen it a few times, she's a beaut! Well done.

  • That was very interesting and informative. Your narration really brings out the color and details of what is happening and provide the vital insight into cultural characteristics and differences.

  • "Pomp and Circumstance," "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," "Amazing Grace," and, of course, a clown. What Christian wedding would be complete without those things?

  • @PinkGrapefruit22

    Indeed!!

    :-D

  • LMAo, of course. I saw the clown earlier before the church scene in the waiting room or whatever lol, the whole thing seems kind of odd but you know, im sure your will be more kick ass :D

  • =) clever ending.

  • the long video was great

  • Whens the actual date?

  • So for the non-Japanese speakers.. How was today for your lady?^^ *5 for "the damn clown"

  • @bjhgi

    "It was fun" :-)

  • An interesting video, although to be honest I would have liked to see what a Shinto wedding is like. Although it makes me wonder what Japanese people think about Westerners adopting some of their customs.

If it were me, I would have wanted to mix together a Japanese wedding with a Western one. I'm from Scotland, so Kilts and Kimonos. :D

Of course, it's really up to what the woman wants, isn't it?

  • @Punk7680

    Yes, it is :-)

  • I love the ending!!! so clever and Kawaii! :)

  • Hi I was wondering if you could do a video on the arcades there? That would be really cool!

  • I would like to see arcades too. You cannot shoot video in pachinko parlors but you can try to do it secretly.

  • @Supersaiyan79

Secret video is against the law in Japan so I wont be doing that :-)

  • @Squablo1201

    Do you mean game arcades?

If so, that video is already here.

  • "Land of Hope and Glory" is traditionally played at American university graduations.

  • lol love the information and you made me laugh at the end :)

  • "and there is a clown..."

This was interesting to me, thx for the upload~

  • I will never understand this mock Christian sham by people who know nothing about the religion. ( Believe me, they know nothing about Christianity)

I am not religious but I still find this offensive and just bizarre. I have been to weddings in Japan that were traditional Japanese that were charming. This is like a reality show charade.

Don't mean to rain on your parade but this is sooooo weird like children mixing up their dreams of clowns, balloons and church.

  • @ Limastudent

    don't take too seriously.

Most Japanese are not Christion, but Many Japanese girls want to wear western wedding gown once in a life.

  • I laughed when I saw that paperface haha, kinda silly but funny ;D

Also for some reason I love it that you always say "Hey guys" its kinda stuck in my mind hah ;D great video keep up the good work.

  • sneaky with the end bit and your fiance <3 sneaky and cute!

  • do japanese have bachelor parties?

  • Yeah? What's up with the clown? Is this a kid's wedding?

Very clever with your fiance'. :)

  • Comment removed

  • the best wedding i ever been to was a freinds... it took place at his parents camp.. had a canoe filled with ice and beer.. great big bbq.. and other cold dishes.. its was a very good time.. no suits woren and the bride didn't have a wedding dress..

  • Just come back from school^ ^and be glad to see your new vid comes out .Yeah~~ I like it~~5*

  • lol I think the hardcore christians would be really offended haha but I found it really interesting how they merged the Western stuff with all the bowing etc. The clown was just plain freaky @.@

Loved the end :) your fiance is so pretty

  • To be honest, I think if any really devout Christian witnessed one of those they might be offended. I personally think them making the Christian wedding more systematic is hilarious. The clown idea kinda makes you double-take, too. It would be even more hilarious if the clown dressed up like Ronald McDonald. Personally, I think I might die of laughter if I ever witness a Japanglish wedding. The clown is just too much. Do they all do clowns?

  • @unowien

No.. the clown was a gate crasher...

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom

    Ah. Thanks for clerifying.

  • WOW, after watching that all I got to say to you man is good luck. Think I'd look into the shinto wedding. This one was just too fake. Yeah I know this one was a fake but you know what I mean. I'll be getting married in May and we're just going to do the justice of the peace thing. 10 minutes and we're done. AND NO CLOWNS!! Clowns are beings of pure evil. And Mimes are the ninjas of the clown empire. Silent but deadly. Not unlike a fart actually. Anyway good luck on the big day.

  • I've never seen a Christian wedding like this here in America. That was very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

  • HAHAHA I loved the ending!

The ceremony looks good, I loved how the bubbles looked when the couple was exiting the "chapel".. the clown was weird though.. everything was good except the clown.. I mean we get it.. "Happy wedding" but having a clown on a wedding is going too far

    Thanks for the vid!

  • Thank you again for sharing and I hope you can keep up your humor as the big day moves closer.

  • @cmb17

    yes.. me too :-)

  • the clown alert had me laughing the entire video, great insight into this stuff, appreciate it!

  • @Rocker3829

    thanks for watching!

  • Quick question man, who's graduating? they normally play that song at graduations here in the west

  • @KingOsiris08

In America, actually.. not all western countries :-D

  • Like Traditional Christian weddings aren't long enough, they went and systemized it even more, classic.

  • the clown is.... just... ummm... hmmmm... yea... a clown at a wedding... just..... i dunno man. i don't know what to say about that.

  • whats with the brillante over the door ? If they were to take the wedding photos outside on the steps you wouldnt want to see Brillante on your wedding photo's now would you..

  • This is so incredibly bizarre. If I was getting married in Japan, I would be tempted to request a dinosaur-themed wedding just to see if they would go along with it. What an amazing slice of life from Japan. Keep making these great videos!

  • I want Pennywise the Clown at my wedding.

  • @DerSchnurrbart

    good one :-D

  • @DerSchnurrbart

ROFL dude. The groom has to dress in a T-Rex costume and all the attendees/workers need to wear a raptor mask. The bride wears a typical wedding gown so this way she looks like the one who out of place. And for the kiss, her head goes into the T-Rex mask's mouth.

  • 5 stars for an interesting video! The clown thing was quite possibly the "randomest" thing I've ever seen...I mean a clown....at a wedding...I don't know what's weirder; that someone thought of putting a clown in a wedding in the first place, or that someone else then thought "Oh yea, clown, good idea, let's all do that!" lol

  • @OMGthEyRevRyWhR

    Indeed!

    Thanks for the 5!

  • 5 stars for an awesome video and the 'Clown Alert!!!' haha

  • @taytaylala

    Thanks for the 5!

  • OMG that is graduation music ahahaha

  • Japan is kewl. I am kewl. Therefore I am Japan.

  • A clown... the signing like someone just die... and a demo wedding... this is weird lol. The Japanese culture will always surprise me in the areas I would not expect.

By the way, you really got me with your prank about your wife lol. 5 stars !

  • @freakmrhyde

    Thanks for the 5!

  • Question

How much are you basing the cost of the wedding and the after party?Just asking because my sister is getting married.

  • When is the big day anyway? ... We all invited? = P

  • @FrikitsukiNoDeoxys

Video coming on that subject soon :-)

  • any idea at what age Japanese couples get married approximately?

  • it varies..

25-30 is common but older and younger too..

  • so basically not so different from western couples..

    thanks! :)

  • Is marriage outside common in Japan? Me and my wife planned to marry at Aioi Bridge.

  • @pekinobo

Depends on the season.. but, yeah, it is OK!

    Good luck!

  • the last part was funny! xD

  • If it's not a Christian church, then I'm wondering why there's a cross up there. What does it stand for?

  • @raby760

Same as the fake minister.. just for "image"..

    just about fashion really..

  • Oh. I guess it's a different concept that I'm used to. If I were living in Japan and decided to get married there, I would prefer for the cross to not be there, as an Atheist. I hope they have the right to choose. But if it's meaningless to them, then I suppose it doesn't matter.

    "It's just a paper moon"

  • so they play the british national anthem, lmao that was absolutely hilarious to watch. I think the japanese remain clueless with christianity.

  • they didnt play the british national atheme?

  • Land of hope and glory is a british patriotic song, although england has no agreed national anthem, god save the queen is also known as it. But a survey showed that 55% of british would prefer land of hope and glory as their national anthem. sayonara

  • as a British citizen myself, i assure u, God save the queen is the national anthem. The land of hope & glory has been played at most church weddings ive been though

  • I don't understand why you'd want a Christian wedding ceremony if you're not Christian... I'm not going to have a ninja-style wedding because I'm not a ninja.

Same lack of understanding regarding the prayer too.

BTW that's one very exceptional-looking lady you've got!

  • they call it a white wedding not a christian wedding plus people have been having special wedding ceremonies before christianity

  • @kalmtraveler

we wont be having a Christian wedding...

thanks, she is cute, isn't she :-)

  • @ B4IRUTUARU16 - He specifically mentioned Christian wedding in the video - which is what I addressed. I know a bit of history :)

@TheJapanChannelDcom - lol sorry that was aimed at the people you filmed - wasn't insinuating that you and the soon-to-be-Mrs were having a Christian wedding.

On a side note - you must now post a vid teaching us how to hook up with manga-faced babe as you have done! ;)

  • Okay i know it was a seroius subject but still it was pretty funny i like how you got tired of the clown lol 5 stars

  • @Whereareall

    damn clown.....

    thanks for the 5!!

  • lol " rent a gaijin " xDD

  • lol...everything looks cool very clean and neat, probable the weirdest thing for me its not clown and i have clown phobia lol, its the video with youre blood type...!!!??? thats crazy...rent a Gaijin lol nice one...$150...cool. that place name is brillante...thats brilliant in english. nice vid.

  • Look at that! Balloons in a balloon! You don't see that awesome stuff in the states.

  • I like the tune they were doing - "What A Friend We Have In Shinto"

  • Very interesting. And weird ;)

At the end of the video I knew we were not going to see your lady, but I kinda expected her to wear that clown's costume to throw us off ^^

    Anywho, thanks for the vid.

  • cute waitress alert

  • That's so bizarre, the mix is so wierd, a freaking clown at a wedding? I hate clowns...

  • lol, the clown looks so out of place even for a mixed wedding like that

  • every one has clowns at the weddings, at least your clowns dress like clowns, lol

  • good one!

  • Clown alert! lol. This was a really cool video, all the little differences make for a very interesting wedding experience.

Also, funny ending :p Keep it up!

  • Thanks!

    More coming!

  • i like how they used bubbles instead of rice :P

  • holy s--t my internet is slow!!!!

    anyway, 5 stars! lol

  • I never liked wedings :(

  • Hoshi Go for the clown and weird.

Funny joke with yuour pretty lady by the way. I have to admir I do want to knwo what she looks like, but I didn't expect you to be the type.

I heard a slightly different, very slightly, different description from someone once. And by slightly I mean huge difference.

  • LMAO!

i love the part where u said

"AHH THERES THE DAMN CLOWN!" xD

  • 5* for the clown

  • I like the Demo Wedding. When Japanese start to learn driving, the first they practice in driving model cources. When people go to restaurant, they can see fake ( sample) dishes in show windowes before they order. Because Japanese hate Suprize.

  • well said!

  • Wow, this video really opened my eyes on how these "white weddings" in Japan are run! They look Christian in the photos, but are actually not.

Thank you for sharing with us!

  • This all felt so awkward. O_o

  • yessssssssssssss

  • Nice Vid, is this a drawing of your girlfriend in the end? :)

  • yes

  • I went to a demo wedding in Fukuoka.

  • You know I love Japanese culture and don't miss any of your videos, but this in particulary seems to me a bit ridiculous, I mean... I don't know, it's a weird mixture of cultures that ends up being very very strange.

  • Yes.. bit like that, isnt it.

  • Really really unusual from a British point of view.. I mean the clown.. not the fact that there is no Christians at that style of wedding.. .. don't know any relatives who married and are Christian.. but all had Christian weddings :P A CLOWN.. WIN!!!

  • lol ... i hope we'll get to se the bride at the wedding... right!?... right!?

    Happy wedding! ;)

  • haha. nice ending! "tanoshikatta yo!"

  • This was diferent and funny xD but cute ^.^

Why is your better half so shy? She doesn't like to be on camera?

  • @XxChuBByFaCexX

We want to try to keep this about Japan rather than about us...

there are more than enough "look at my life" vloggers on Youtube already!

I put my head on only when necessary and avoid putting her's on..

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom

That's actually a really good point.

  • haha, 5 stars for the clown

  • @browndog1978

    gotta love the clown :-)

  • Your wife to be is awesome. ^_^ Haveing the mask on was real funny ^_^

The mock wedding looks alot more fun than some of the weddings I've seen. Alot more interaction with the guests.

  • @ArielannaDragonBlood

That was actually a sketch of her :-)

  • That was a really good sketch. :-)

  • Wow that is very Interesting, also very odd. You should of got married down under with her haha ;)

    Great video.

  • @f11rob

BBQ and a few beers under the gum trees somewhere?

    good idea!

  • Oh yeah totally haha

  • as always very interesting stuff!

  • @m3hm0

As always, thanks for your support and kind words!

  • I think the music was "Pomp and Circumstance" and is usually played at graduations from high school and college/university here in the States.

Good video..so much to think about for marriage!

  • @reymiland

    Thanks!

Actually, I think you will find America "borrowed" that music from England :-D

  • ok ..first off.. Great videos..

second.. I need to correct some things here

The song name is "Land of Hope and Glory."

It is one of the 39 marches from "Pomp and Circumstance Military Marches"

All 39 marches were composed by Sir Edward William Elgar who was English.

And yes it is used at many school graduations in the USA.

Again great videos and yes I do think it is out of place at a wedding.

    (^_^)

  • Amazing,...weird,..and funny at the end. : D

  • @Lowriderboy713

    cute at the end!

    :-D

  • 5 stars for the clown!

    5 stars for the actors!

    5 stars for Rent-A-Gaijin!

  • @FinalFan0

    Thanks for the 15 !

  • OMG! Japan is so weird. Such o mixture of random things in this video. People in the "chapel" were wearing shiny jackets instead of suits with ties. And the clown, I was like WTF!!??? Nearly died laughing.

Reminds me of a jester. I'd like to have one at my wedding so I can kick him all the time.
