For more info on overpopulation see: "One planet, One child" and "Overconsumpulation". 58 national science acdemies agree that overpopulation is a major issue.
anyways, the birth rates in many developing nation are out of control.
so the way we solve this is by what.
birth laws? might work but not the best idea.
instead educate them why if our population were to grow too fast it would cause a very severe problem in the future. in most developing nations or "super slums" they have very few schools. very little education is being done.
So let the birth rates enjoy being "out of control." That's freedom. Having children is a basic, primal, God-given right/duty.
More and more people would be glad to live, and most everybody wants or ends up having children. So huge pops should be urged to grow more naturally and faster. Encourage more people who are ready, to marry young, and don't space babies, but let them come as they come, as our ancestors were wise to do.
pronatalist, you're an idiot! Birth control is a necessity, especially in the developing world as current population growth will inevitably result in famine and conflict. Much of the recent violence in countries such as Kenya and Rwanda is caused by competition for scarce resources. Also, have you not noticed that all developed, wealthy countries such as Japan, Norway and Canada have low birthrates and stable populations?
More and more people would be glad to live, so I have long supported the natural flow of human life unhindered.
People were not designed to use any means of "birth control." That's why there's so many contraceptive "failures," and so much dissatisfaction with about every method. They keep coming up with ever more a bewildering array of methods, as all previous methods are soon found to be FLAWED.
Resources aren't scarce, when not mismanaged. And humans can populate far denser.
Haven't you considered that much of society, has in fact come, from large families and high birthrates?
People are not mere cogs in some socialist machine society state. Society is formed of the many people and their families, families being the basic building blocks of community and society. Society is an organization of individuals, for both individual and collective benefit, so societies have no right to limit their population size. Still, much references to population is, it is what it is.
So then, I must be replying to the comment then, and not to you?
Anyway, I much disagree with the "modern" prejudice that claims that large families and high birthrates can't naturally persist and be encouraged, in a "modern" and increasingly populous world. People obviously can go on having their "traditionally very large" families in the big cities as well, as perhaps not everybody can supposedly live and breed in the rural countryside, and it be so much "countryside" anymore?
What if governments had the wisdom to stop squandering moeney on shoddy contraceptives, embrace a pro-human pronatalist mindset, and promote cheap benefits for the populous masses? Just the money wasted on "family planning" could have built a great high-speed internet/education service for the populous masses, and cheap computers would proliferate, as people seek to get connected. But instead of wisdom, we proliferate poverty instead?

This is very informative and superb video. It should be posted on every website. Large families and high birth rates are a burden on society
