Halo 3: ODST doesn't take any time to load anymore, too bad I can't use it on all my games, damn 20gb HDD. I bought it only a month before the 60gb's came out WORST, TIMING, EVER.
Well its not just the load times, thats a slight perk. It is better for your disc drive to not have to be constantly spinning when its reading most of the data from the drive. It reduces heat produced by the console some and reduces fan noise. And for those people that have money to blow the modern warfare 2 consoles come with a 250 gig hard drive.
you can do that - the hard drives are interchangeable within seconds - just remove old drive & clip on new drive.
but if you will upgrade to a 60GB hard drive, you will need to request a 'Transfer Cable' from Microsoft so that you can put all the data from the 20GB to the 60GB.
the retail 120GB hard drive comes with a transfer cable. so that may be a better option imo : )
if you buy a hard drive just you have to muve the info from 20gb to 60gb is easy copy and paste into your new hard drive but you need a new conection with cables man :)

It's actually saves more time because the logos take the same amount of time both on the disc and the HDD. If you started the time from the start menu to the checkpoint, you would have seen more difference in the time. Try GTA 4, it takes so much less time when installed to the HDD.

you still need the disc (otherwise the only company to really make a profit would be blockbuster) but playing it from hardrive speeds up loading, usually its not that noticible (but on games like grand theft auto 4 it is)

try borrowing the gow 2 disc from a friend, install to your hardrive, give the disc back and try it

Fair play on this video. But it's worth it on a 20GB HDD if (like me) the only game you play is GeOW2.
PS: the loading times between each section of the game is reduced to a few seconds aswell.

I've got a 120gb Hdd, I've installed all my games and that has still left me with 50gb to play around with.
The biggest advantage to this I have noticed is the fan noise goes right down (for some reason the fan is on full speed on the dash).
Also the load times to get to a games menu is reduced quite a bit, but the the new area load times seem the same (using Fallout 3 as reference).

If Microsoft offered native support for an install-then-sell game business model, you could say goodbye to the Xbox 360 and any future games that would have come out for the console. People who don't realize this need to go back to high school.
