  • ahahahaha! thats great! I work at a school and I have to admit some meetings end up like that!

  • Hehe- yeah, truthfully, they don't happen often but there are things they organize that are meant to demonstrate certain leadership or team qualities.

This was about...if I remember correctly, making adjustments as a team. Of course they usually do something fun like this just before they force some ridiculous initiative on us (to soften the blow). ;o)

  • I knew it!

  • Looks like a leadership seminar to me;-)

  • Teaching is FUN!

  • i always wanted to be one. now i understand why.

  • I have long suspected the true nature of those involved lofty goal setting and spiking...

  • I especially enjoy the digs.

  • OK, that's totally cool!

  • ...only if you're on a winning team

  • Thanks to No Balloon Left Behind, you'll all have more than you bargained for at the next learning conference.

  • Teachers are flexible when it comes to latex.

  • LOL, when I was a student I loved those days just as much as you all it seemed.

  • I remember wondering what my teachers were learning and if any of them cut their classes, too.

I also wondered if the rumors were true that, behind that mysterious staff lounge door, there was a spa and a wet bar.

  • Heh

  • Oh, I see, you guys do everything you won't allow the students to do in class. Hmmmmmmmmmmm? Hahahahahahaa. This was a great SydVid.

  • These teachers were modeling what it is we actually DO in class.

In fact, this is a fine demonstration of prepping for the high-stakes tests required by No Child Behind Left.

  • Oh, my bad. "What most schools won't allow the kids to do in class" At least, back in my day, I would have gotten swatted for doing something like this. Really. You new teachers are FABULOUS!!!

  • Ah, nothing like fulfilling the state requirements for licensure lol!!!!

  • We all passed with flying colors!! (pink included)

  • "Team building" gota love it.

  • or play hookie.

  • my dad was a university professor. He attended a lot of these teacher *cough* learning conferences over his 50 year career. LOL

  • Heh. He'd probably seen it all.

Some of the more conservative members of the staff see it as a 70's holdover of commie-minded hippie-ish bullcrap.

I take a perverse pleasure in observing their discomfort. ;o)

  • Ahhh! No!! You traitor! Now they'll All know! (How were your donuts?)

  • I bet you are a champion! xox

  • I stick to reffing... the sport's brutal! ;)

  • I was talkin' 'bout the donuts! LOL

  • We could've used you, Gert. I felt the lunch lady was a bit over-zealous in her role.

  • wait! They served rolls too! damn you work for a posh district! ;)

  • I'M SHOCKED! SHOCKED, I TELL YOU! ;-)

  • I know!!!!

    I thought there'd be prizes..

  • I KNEW IT!!!

  • It was only a matter of time before John Stossel would've blown the lid on it...

  • I will google him and make myself look smart.

Ah ha you must be talking about the journalist/ author from Chicago who goes against the grain of the established media and offers the network something fresh and different which in turn makes him the target of any/all the groups that he offends. Well as long as he doesn't make another phony charity to promote himself I think I'm ok with the guy.

  • Aw man..first you admitted the Google dig, then you called him a "journalist"- HEY, but no worries...I misspelled his name!

  • Ha ha! The truth revealed!

    Loved it.!

    Thanks.

  • Take pity on them...this is, for most of them, the highlight of their year.

  • LOL!

  • I could have sooo been a great teacher lol

  • Got a killa serve?
