I discovered the MGS series in 1998 when I was 8 yrs old only...too young to understand what was going on, and I didn't like the game at all because I didn't understand what to do lol. Kept being discovered and killed before even going in the elevator. Then in 2003 I was bored at home, went to the video store to pick up a game, but there was nothing of interest. I saw Metal Gear Solid: Sons Of Liberty, and remembered its bad predecessor, but was so bored that I gave it a chance.

@WorldOfSnakes I went home put the CD in my PS2 and played it...literally from the first moments of the opening scene, I was blown away. The ambiance when he says "The Hudson River, 2 years ago", and the dark blue and grey colors of the scene (and of the entire game)...the cinematic genius behind this freaking amazing game...my heart was taken right from the start. Since then I owned every MGS game possible and played it many times. MGS2 is my favorite because it's the first that blew me away.

I completed Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance on all the difficulties, very easy, easy, normal, hard and extreme with, no alerts, no continues, no kills and no rations used also I collected all the dog tags and I have Stealth and Bandanna for both Snake and Raiden.

Big Boss was in MGS3 and the 2 PSP games, these are set in the past (in the 60s and 70s). MGS1, 2 and 4 are set currently or a little bit into the future. These games feature Solid Snake and his brothers
