I am not sure how you all have windows upgrade on XDA iis. I have 2003 version. I have tried a number of times to install windows 5, never mind anyone came after that, without any luck. Although bulky, but I love it for the size of the screen. I can't do a basic thing like this, never mind install programs like these.!! Any advice!!
@audaykhalaf : actually XDA IIs is able to run even the latest Windows Mobile 6.5.3. You can find how to upgrade in xda-deverlopers. I think it is not complicated but I am not sure because I sold my XDA IIs more than 1 year ago, now I am using HTC touch HD
i shouldn't sell my own XDA IIs -_-' i hate cause the OS and the texting was sux i can't fine app for it but since first Iphone released and other PocketPC now every app for those phones are dumped on the Internet...by the way can you do txting like iphone using app or installed thanks for the vids xD
no, i mean how can you install windows mobile 6 into your Xda IIs? i have one Xda IIs in my home, but i hate it's operating system so i wanted to upgrade it into wmb 6....
Hi, I can even install Windows Mobile 6.1 on XDA IIs. There are plenty of ROM for it on the internet. Go to xda-developers[dot]com and find the ROM you want. Try it, test it...some ROMs are good, some are buggy.
Very nice video and interesting. On my website I have online texting for free. You can create contact list of friends to send mulitple text messages. Just go to my profile to see.

Windows Mobile is buggy as hell. Slapping Point/UI over it makes it worse. Although the design is awesome, it can't help itself, becaise the OS it sits on sucks ballz
True, the iPAQ is a feature rich phone and there are many things the iPhone can't do. However, before going off and spouting about about this and that, Apple whether you like it or not, has created a platform with a UI that is simplistic, innovative, and the phone performs really well for the features it has. Of all the phones out there, the iPhone in my opinion
is the only phone that can do the internet really well, youtube videos, music, video playback, and google maps. While it isn't feature rich, the device has a very low learning curve and my 96 year old grandmother was using an iPhone after a few minutes of playing with it. She loved it. Also, the with the iPhone sdk and apps coming out soon, many of the features that are missing on the phone will be available to download. Also, the iPhone works in other countries, not just North America.
almost any phone can do those things, youtube, get vtap, music any phone nowadays, can do that, video playback, same thing google maps, many phones can run that application
True, but my point was that the UI of the iphone makes the iphone what it is. It is easy to use and imo way simpler and better than the other phones out there. The implementation of the features, to me, seems really well done. As far as pic and video functionality, I just leave that to my new Nikon D700 or for video my Canon vid stuff.

Looks like a bunch of the UI is adapted from the look of the iPhone UI. Must say though, the iphone raised the bar and everyone wants to climb up to the top.
Is this only for touchscreen devices?
