  • hmm theres one of these guys at my local model shopm thinking of getting it

  • Thank you for sharing so many of your techniques!

I am a novice modeler, having been back in the hobby for 18 months now. Liked seeing the use of the drill bits to make the model more authentic. I will buy a drill like this so I can add more detail! I have a Tamiya and Academy P47 bubble top kits. I put together one Academy P47 kit and was pleased with it, but want to recreate 2 more real P47s of my choosing, so I may build all three P47 kits I have! Great work! Thanks! No speakie Japanese

  • Not bad.. for a Tamiya kit! :)

  • Excellent job!!

  • I don't understand any Japanese, but I love this video! Tamiya make the best models! The dude in this vid is my hero...well, 2nd to my dad...well, maybe even 3rd to Spiderman...but you know what I mean, yeah?

  • If you think there's a lot of details in this replica you should go on aircraft resource center and watch what they do this is the best site ever made. Or type Rodney williams, this guy is crazy.

  • OMFG, So much detail!!!

  • is this their job or do they do it as a hobby?

  • both?

  • It varies from each vid. I think most are hobbyists that have gained many many skills and techniques but there are a few that have it as their job.

  • The people who make it are the ones who work, for anyone who buys the kit from a hobbystore its just a hobby to them.

  • There are guys who do this for a living. Remember MPC models that was owned by Lionel? They had around 12 full time model makers just building up the stuff they made so it could be photographed for ads and packaging.

  • some of them are known through the community in China/Japan so they can get sponsored to build this kit and paint it

. its a TV show in Japan and would do very well in North America.

  • Some of the guys on "Building Time" work for Tamiya, some of them own shops where customers go to commission work (I.e if a museum wants a model to display for a exhibition) and of course the rest they just do it for a hobby.

  • well the japanese always pay atention to the slightest of details!!

    tamiya rules

  • The best video of it's kind I have found sofar

  • All I can understand in these vids is "Dddryy Brusha" and "Tissu Papier."

    But, I still love 'em.

    :)

  • HAHA EXCELLENT

  • Excellent job, you're very skilled! I'd love to know what's being said though - would it be possible to add English subtitles!?!? Maybe that's asking too much!

  • Its not him. its a tv show.

  • Thx!!! 1:72?

  • Thx!!! 1:72?

  • As a kid I built very basic models... 40 yrs ago. This is very helpful for people like me, that want to build more profesional looking models. Great video. Cool effects!

  • wow everybody says i have a eye for detail but this guy has a 1000,00000 times better eye for detail than me

  • Great job !

  • excellent work mate, well done!

  • thx!
