Listen to this lyrics: baby,i can't imagine, what i'd do...without you girl....let me know....if someone is taking my place.....inside your heart........don't disappear on me....without a trace........ now that is what it's about......great D-train song...
Love D Train, now and way back when!!! Whenever I'm feeling like shyt is messed up, I like to play keep on, and I remember to turn the page! I wonder if the current crop of greedy producers and record label execs read the comments here and see the complaints about the direction if their soul-less music and how much everybody yearns for the old school feeling from back in the day???
ME AND MY BOYFRIEND AT THE TIME C. LAWSHEA USE TO PARTY OUR ASSES OFF TO THIS...I MEAN PARTYIN TO THE FULLEST...LOL..4 THE GOOD TIMES..TODAY WE R BOTH MARRIED 2 DIFFERENT PEOPLE BUT I KNOW THE GOOD MEMORIES R THERE..
Ah man,my folks used to party in the front yard, bbq cookouts, drinking Colt 45 and Shlitz Malt Liquor.I was 8 dancing with them, just having so much fun.I used to notice a funny smell in the air and didn't know what it was.Folks coughing and eyes watering, lol. It was Mary Jane they was smoking. Now,Im couging and eyes watering up,lol!!!
R&B made so much sense back in the day, off the cuff & staight from the soul, not manufactured robotic gobbledigook which is heavily financed as it is today.Todays music is rebellious has no essence, and has lost direction from what true music is.In a nutshell todays generation are being BRAINWASHED by millitant rapp & hipphop which has no feelgood factor, just a continuous depressive cloud!!
What a masterpiece. We should find these type of albums on the shelves. I'm still on the hunt for this song. Shed some light my fellow D Train lovers! Ernest my brother in law and I are real turning music shops upside down, but this has been illusive.

Wow I heard this earlier on the radio and I came home and I had to find it...I knew that the group had the name train in it...I loved this song back in the day..thanks for post.
R&B was so good back then. R&B used to be soul music. Now it's an awful collision of hip hop, trance and pop dance music. I like all those genres but the R&B collision has killed the important SOUL part
@fagAshLil1234 The industry has become so image conscious & materialistic that everything's about style instead of substance. If U can't sing but are visually appealing, U can go quadruple platinum. Just autotune or have ur vocals doctored up. But if U don't have the look & got a voice like Luther with subject matter like Stevie, Ur ignored by the masses. So sad=(
@BearRilla33 you know why because they have a bunch of horny trifling a/r people with no ear for music but more interested on how much sex they can get if they sign these no talent artist. but thn to talent is making a comeback over looks no hrm tended but look t lidisi girls cooked but she can holler people waking up a bit
@fagAshLil1234 I agree,u do have some real talented singers out that still keep that original R & B flavor such as Jaheim,Donell Jones,Joe but they are often categorized as neo-soul or just painfully underated and in order to stay in the buisness they have to absolutely dumb down their styles to cator to the masses,i mean u have real talented singers such as Mary,Usher and Mariah who are now singing through an auto-tone or vocoder in order to cater to the masses.
@10classictv ... Their not going to bring it back, what we have to do is start listening to song of the past. I even think some of us should pick up instruments... quit being consumers and be producers, that will make them listen because we will play the type of music we like instead of being spoon feed.
@fishnet9002 I agree with you on that.......back when I was in high school, being fundamental with original music(that means to be able to play the original songs, with an instrument without sheet music by ear & in the original "key" of what it was composed in).....thus, keeping the originality of the music along with holding the audience's attention.
reminds me of when i first came to america. first time dealing with the "cold" . the bronx. the rattling of the graffiti subway cars, the freezing rain and muddy footprints and kids with thier boomstereo blasting this song echoing down the hall. i was mere 20
A HUGE BIG UPS TO YOU. It reminds me of the After hours CLUB in Harlem where many cool and famous people came to hang out. Those times were GOOD TIMES, so much fun there that no one left until 11:00am the next day. Nice clean fun with GREAT music.
@HighlandPark908 Well, being from Harlem and being a 15 year old teenager when this song came out back in 82 - 83, I wanted to hit the clubs so bad but was unable to due to my age. Missing those days, Hell, I'm missing the 80's period.. R & B was pure class and so was hip hop.. Sigh :-(

@fagAshLil1234 you are right on point..the R&B today has been mixed up to the point of unrecognizable ..at least the majority of stuff on the radio
