@bobchessy Mm sometimes but not always, but if it happens, it may be you have a bad fuel-air mixture and the engine is creating gunk or maybe it could have small carbon deposits ontop of the piston wich would turn bad if it got inside the tank
Yes it will do the same thing but if you put one on the pipe going back in to the tank it cools the air going in to the tank witch in turn is beter for the fuel and the car
Having a filter from the tank to the carb will do the same thing and if any debris goes in the tank it will just be stopped before reaching the car. its better to have it between the tank and carb as it also will stop any debris that got in the tank whilst refilling, hardcore mud, sand and dirt bashers will agree
@gabster118 i used just the one from tank to carb..i didn't see a change in performance but not as much dirt, and a lot less sand would get back into the motor.but it wasn't until i put the second one from exhaust to tank that i seen more results.the engine ran 3 degrees cooler and dirt/sand was kept out of both parts of the motor...not a big change but it helps to sat cool when at a sand pit in 80 degree weather..!
@quadGOD12953 Yeh i now run an exhaust gas cooler from muffler to tank its like a big heatsink for the gasses and a filter from tank to carb. My car is much cooler and the tanks last 2 mins longer and the car runs 5 mins more
coldnt you just buy one of those purpose exaust gas coolers?
they are the same price as filters and do the job better! and if you all ready have a inline for the fuel, it doesnt matter if a tiny amount of debris gets into the fuel.
Ok if you have a fuel filter going from the tank from the motor it only cleans the fuel going into the motor. But if you ALSO put one coming from the line that connects the pipe to the tank then you wont have any debris getting into the tank. Motors are exspensive so its just a precaution.
Can u tell me were I can the filter

I was wondering if you could help Me with something.
When i was cleaning my nitro car i realized some liquid was coming out of my exhaust is that normal after a run or not?
driler123 1 year ago
@driler123 Completely normal, infact, that's actually a good sign because it's letting you know that the engine is getting lubrication

@IbzSolja1
You do it on both. If you only have one put the fuel filter on the line from the tank to the carb, in the way that it says.
For the exhaust line one remove the filter and then install it into that line.
TechnexLOL 1 year ago
this is not truth, I remove leak and the volume of my line of gasoline is not reduced and with the filter if

wouldn't jsut having one fuel filter going from the engine to the gas tank or whatever do the same thing?
mx726nick 2 years ago
yea u can and should do that, but this guy is saying u should also put a filter in line from exhaust to gas tank for the mentioned reasons

yeah i know, just having one going form the gas tank to the carb would do the same thing.
