It's like some sort of online Filipino mafia... people have to pay you protection money or else you trash their channels?

I think I only knew 4 of the other competitors (plus Gentosmentos, the host) before this competition, one i was subbed too and others I seen their names in comments on other vids... some had actually subbed to me when I was part of a Christmas Collab done by Chinaeyes22 (who's another Filipino)

You have to set it to record in the wide screen format on your camera, as well as saving in the wide screen aspect in Window movie maker.

It was widescreen on the camera too... not only that but I used the highest quality setting for the first time to see if it makes much of a difference (though since I have to process all my vids twice kinda brings down the quality a bit)

Odd, I don't know why its not in wide screen then, on the plus side it seems to be of higher quality, or a least less grainy, even if you have to process your video twice.
