  • now that's an advertisment. I like how she blinks when she says "and 10 mm" . refreshing to see something new. The compact 10mm sounds interesting and very approachable price but.....for $395 you can get a taurus G2 for a little cheaper. and for a few dollars more your in a sig p250.

  • @KArtist2007 - IMO a company can increase their profit margin tenfold by adverting a huge portion of their advertising dollars and pump that money back into market research and customer service. Find out what your customers really want and need then provide them with the best product available matched with the best support available - do that and the rest will take care of itself. Lastly - my comment about your model being a "bimbo" was harsh, not meant to be personal - my apologies.

  • @BSRadar100 Thanks for the good words on the guns and for ordering a Witness. We put a lot into service and research. There is a lot in what you said about the best product possible, but the world has to know about it in order for it to succeed. Our experience has been that the ads work in getting attention and ultimately moving product. If the ads don't work, trust me when I tell you that our CEO will change them on an instant. Also, thanks for the apology. I appreciate that a lot.

  • @KArtist2007 - Just picked up the Witness Compact 10mm a few hours ago. It is sweet!!!!!! Fits my hand like a glove. Hopefully I will get some range time tomorrow. This is my new camping/hiking/bear defense gun. Chose this over a revolver because it is much easier to pack around and has more fire power. It is a bit heavy but that extra weight will help dampen the recoil. Very solidly built pistol.

  • @KArtist2007 - You're welcome. Again my comment was not directed towards her as a person but the role she was asked to play. I personally don't mind "eye candy" but as a rule, I don't trust everything a girl in a short skirt tells me. That's a young man's game there. However, I am more apt to believe someone who has experience with firearms and can talk more about the specifics. Lastly, don't overlook the influence forums and youtube can be on forming one's buying decisions.

  • @BSRadar100 Preach it! All the had to do to sell it was show me some statistics, let me see it from all angles and show me some shooting video. I could do without the somewhat superficial advertising.

  • @BSRadar100 The trouble with a lot of companies is that spending a un-proportionate amount of money on marketing has always been how things were sold, if we go back 10-15 years, unless your product's on TV or magazines, no one's ever going to hear about them. These days however, everybody can do in depth research on what they want easily, a video on performances and detail specs would be a lot less patronizing and informative than a video of a blonde girl in short skirts winking at the camera.

  • @aaron4820 as far as i know these commercials try to have you subconscially associate the blonde girl with the gun leading you to like it just as you like the girl.

  • @KArtist2007 - Not questioning that at all - I ordered a 10mm witness a few days back and am picking it up tomorrow. I'm actually a huge fan of the CZ-75 design. The reason I went with the witness is because it literally was the most comfortable design I've seen. It was not however, because I watched this video. LOL. I think EAA has the ergonomics right and I foresee being a loyal fan. BTW lot's of companies employ advertising dollars this way - but most can see through this.

  • @KArtist2007 - She may not be - but she sure is playing the role. Also, she is so well known I've never heard of her. My beef isn't with her but with companies that want to promote a product like this. It may be ok for a beer commercial when you're trying to sell a good time but not for a firearm. I think their advertising dollars would go a lot farther if they had a Soldier or LEO going over the specs , firing the weapon, and letting us know what sets this gun apart from the competition.

    Easier to interchange calibers with the witness. Not to mention they are cheaper.. very accurate right out of the box and have double the mag capacity of a 1911.

    You can buy yourself a witness and then get conversion kits from 22lr-10mm for $200 a pop. Damn good deal.

  • I hate when gun advertisements try to use sex to sell a product. If I'm going to have someone tell me about a gun I'd rather it be a soldier or a police officer or a scientist. Sure they're not as nice to look at as a model but at least they know what they're talking about instead of simply reading off a prompter.
