@thelastmaniac The lead singer of A Perfect Circle is also the lead singer of TOOL. This is sort of a side band he did, although they are almost just as popular in their own right. You have a good ear though, if you noticed all the similarities. This band always reminded me of a more rhythmic version of TOOL.
