But nba players and even superstars of the game today give props to him. Influencing (by Penny) them means something about his game. Penny was one of the unsung heroes in the nba of all time. But nevertheless, he was GREAT and no one can take that away.

Even getting that team to the playoffs was impressive considering the state of the team and Penny's knee problems. He took his team to the western conference finals like three times, and he's one of the best passers in the game,

Penny did reach his prime! Those years in Orlando after Shaq left he was really starting to come into his own! He was a unstoppable clutch scorer, a great passer and had improved defensively. He went on such a decline after the knee injury that it's hard to tell how much better he could've gotten! To think he could've gotten any better than he was those last years in Orlando is scary. He was no doubt a hall of famer before the injury tho!
