Yikes. Portable Suica reader on a computer is actually something I did not know about. Wave a device like that near someone's wallet, you can pick their pocket. Biccamera sell these little electromagnetic shield protectors you can put in your wallet around your card.
I live in Britain and also own a Sony laptop, shame we don't have cool scanner stuff on ours =[
