  • was 1984 the first ever 9 darter think was john lowe

  • The commentator is Albert Mantingh.

  • wrong it was in 84 idiot

  • @rooneygiggs1011 Can you not read the word LIVE? As in he done it on LIVE television.

  • type '9 dart finish' into wikipedia, that should clear this argument up. It is the first truly LIVE 9 dart finish

  • Comment removed

  • not the 1st idiot

  • 18 pages full of rude comments . Calling each other all sort of names about who was the first to trow a 9 darter live on tv .... that's not what darts is about .

Look at the players they respect eachother !!

  • Wie is hier de commentator?

  • That's a great batch of darts right there...

  • Is that Roland Scholten, one of the commentators?

  • @8pn I only hear 1 commentator and that isn't Scholten.

  • @HUFCawaytravel

You massive retard. John Lowe's original 9 darter and Paul Lim's 9 darter were NOT screened live on tv, they were played later. Get your facts straight before you try to correct me, dick head!! You haven't got a fucking clue & have waded in & failed. Well done

  • Great video but I'm stunned at the amount of people commenting here who haven't understood the world 'live'.

  • @Kuchukaka

While Lowe and Lim did do it first, they WEREN'T "LIVE", which is the entire point of this video, you idiot. At least read the title of a video before you comment on it!!! Shaun Greatbatch's 9-darter was shown LIVE on Dutch tv. Incidentally the first 'LIVE 9-darter screened on British TV' was Phil Taylor's against Chris Mason in 2002 World Matchplay Blackpool

  • @shredderkrang they were live you idiot

  • Comment removed

  • Ya fucking MORONS!!. If your into darts, play darts, watch darts and don't know about John Lowe in 1984 !!!!! Then you should get the fuck out of darts period!!

  • @thinkyourright that wasnt live, read the title before you go and call people morons, moron

  • @thinkyourright You're the moron for not understanding the meaning of the term 'live'. I bet you felt so proud of yourself making that comment, didn't you?

  • with 81 to play treble 15 is not uncommon....because if you miss the treble and get a single the trble 10 is just above the treble 15...you are have a marker on the board.

You sure you boys are dart players?

  • John Lowe was the first you idiot!!!!!

  • @IIxMURPHYxII

    Paul Lim was first

  • dude dart tournys ben goin on live since the eighties wit people throwin the perfect darts

  • Comment removed

  • john lowe was the first! october 1984 againts kieth deller!

  • @airforce428 that wasn't televised live though!

  • Are u sure this was the first? I've seen one from Taylor with the old duble in-dubble out system, so that was much earlier...

  • confirmed this was the first 9 darter lowes and lims were recorded but not televised till much later shauns was the first LIVE tv 9 darter

  • well the fact is John Lowe accomplished the fest first you look up the history

  • john lowe was the first 9 darter.....this dude knows shit about darts. lmfao

  • john lowes was the first one on tely cock!

  • @kylelawson12345 yea but not live, the title says "live"

  • didnt paul lim do it in 89

  • John Lowe made the first ever live 9 Darter on television in 1984, can't remember if it was live or not though.

  • john lowe done it in 1984!!

  • @tommyMR400 paul lim in 1990!

  • nice

  • This was the first ever LIVE 9 darter on TV it was seen LIVE not recorded then shown like many others, john lowes for example was recorded then shown later on tv in the 80s.End of

  • I remember watching the John Lowe nine darter on October 13, 1984, wasn't live but was not reported beforehand, presumably to save the surprise, as it was reported on the news later on, after the screening.

  • Guys, this was the first ever LIVE one. The first televised one was Lowe's.

  • @180iMax180 yeh but it wasnt live

  • the first ever live 9 darter was john lowe in the 80's

  • @tom01970 wasn't live u twat

  • Shaun Greatbatch is not dead.

  • Umm, this isn't the first televised live 9 dart finish in the history of darts. The first 9 dart finish was by John Lowe in 1984 and then by Paul Lim in 1990, this is the third, before Phil Taylor made his first of 9 live 9 dart finishes.

  • @laidinspain It's the first LIVE 9 dart finish. Both Lowe's and Lim's 9 darters were pre-recorded.

  • 1:10 hes says rapage!

  • hes dead now of cancer someone told me is that correct or did olly croft bore him to death lol

  • HAHA, how the commentator says 140.

  • a lot of people don't understand the concept of live television.

  • James Wade's first televised nine-darter, came against Gary Anderson at the 2008 Grand Slam of Darts in Wolverhampton on November 20, 2008, shown live on ITV4. It was the first time the feat had been achieved live on terrestrial, free-to-air television in the UK.

  • you would have to be an idiot to think the first nine darter wasnt hit on live tv until 2002...i mean come on...

  • @Jamesso It's the first live televised 9 darter.

  • This isn't the first ever..........fool!

  • This was the first one live on television

  • does the back of his shirt say dildo??

  • John Lowe's was the first televised one

  • Great 141 , all 3 darts are right in the middle!...John Lowe went T 17 , T 18 , D18 for his 9 darter...I doubt we'll ever see T20 , T19 , Bull , 3 times for a perfect 9 darter.

  • ONE HUNDRED

    AND EIGHTYYYYY

  • how much money did he win fuk all hahahahahahaha

  • Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke. I know and respect him.

  • the only reason y it was the first on live tv is because tv was more developed

  • T15 - D18? Commentator knew it?

    Didn't T17-D12 exist in 2002?

  • @torax94 maybe he knows the favourite way of Shaun Greatbatch to clear 141 points. Btw, John Lowe f.e. went for a way to clear 141 points with a D18 too at his 9 Darter.

    And to you, it's T19 D12, not T17 D12 ;-)

  • @BarneveldDarts ah yes all possible options, i was just wondering cuz now in these years u mostly see T19 D12 if they have throwed 2x 180 before. but who know's still a role dice. :) ty in advise.

  • @BarneveldDarts the bdo way is T15 then D18, pdc have T19 D12... the T19 D12 way is better because if your switching, they always go for T19's cause obviously thats the next highest score to a T20, if you know what i mean

  • @nascarstopmotionguy that doesn't make any sence

  • @Timmevds its easy.

pdc way of checking out 141 is treble 20, treble 19, double 12

bdo way of checking out 141 is treble 20, treble 15, double 18

    does it make sense now?

  • @nascarstopmotionguy Why do the BDO and the PDC have different ways of checking out? It depends on the player's preference..

  • @torax94 or the commentator sees it in Shaun's eyes that he isn't going for T19 .. . Because Shaun looks at the T15. Maybe

  • @torax94

    surely you mean T19 - D12

  • @tommyMR400 Yep, sorry. :)

  • @torax94 The dutch players usually go treble 15 instead of treble 19, with the exception of barneveld and the other dutch PDC players

  • @torax94 the out from 141 is T20 T19 D12 not 17

  • @torax94 He is looking to the right at 1:02.....

  • wasnt the 1st live 9 darter.....paul lim v jack mckenna????

  • @BarneveldDarts paul lim's wasn't live

  • @barmyarmy1967 No that was the first nine darter in the World Championship. John Lowe hit the first one against Keith Deller..

  • @barmyarmy1967

That wasn't live. First ever at a World Championship though, first ever seen on TV was John Lowe vs. Keith Deller at the MFI World Matchplay in 1984.

  • @barmyarmy1967 not live

  • @barmyarmy1967 it wasn't LIVE; it was recorded

  • @barmyarmy1967 Lowes was first

  • @CHUCKL1DD3LL it looked live to my dad because he was there lol but anyways you're right but you dont have to be such a FUCKIN RETARD about it. People might start thinking you're a FAGGOT! Plus if you want to know how to take CAPS off then its the button to the left of the "A" key.

  • ALL televised 9 darters in HISTORY from LOWE to BARNEVELD: < watch this vid it says lowes was first

  • @angrygamer1 Yes but we are talking about LIVE...

So the title of this vid is right...

  • @everyone this is NOT the first 9darter live it was taylors thats why he got 100g

  • @sawford1234 you are wrong at all m8. Shaun's was the FIRST LIVE 9 darter in history!!

  • @BarneveldDarts put in phil taylor power and glory go to part4 it tells you how i am right

  • @sawford1234 no... Shaun's was thrown at 03.02.2002 and was the first LIVE 9D. And Phil's was thrown at 01.08.2002 .

    End of sicussion.

  • @BarneveldDarts just search it and i'm sure it says summot about it

  • @BarneveldDarts You are right. But don't get high about sawford...he is posting that sh*t in nearly every video's comments where Taylor hit a 9D :)

  • @LordDarts i just wanna know ffsdont go cry

  • @sawford1234 Your comments on nearly EVERY Phil Taylor 9D vid speak another language :) I could do a discussion with a pregnant woman, would be as senseless as discussing with you :)

  • @sawford1234 ur wrong u idiot

  • @BarneveldDarts watch taylors 9 darter against mason the commentators are always ramblin on about it just check it FFS

  • i swear taylors wus in 2000?

  • Comment removed

  • @angrygamer1 if your talking about the one he hit against chris mason that was in augest 2002,this one was hit earlier in the year

  • the first one who throwed a 9 darter live on television was john lowe

  • @niesjespower John Lowe's was recorded and then shown on TV later on.

This was the first 9 darter shown LIVE

  • taylors against mason was the first live 1 thats y he got 100 grand for it

  • @martyrscameramen never. check all -> wiki, google ect

  • @martyrscameramen

Sorry mate you are wrong, this is the first live one, it was before Phils

  • Does anybody else think that Steve Coote looks a lot like Charlie Sheen

  • This is the first LIVE 9 Darter (LIVE!!!!) Not recorded like John Lowe's or Paul Lim's etc, why can't people understand that.

  • phil taylor does it all the time with his eyes shut lol.

  • this is the first on dutch television

  • i saw the game john lowe made his 9 darter...it says there it was the first televised 9 darter....hmmm i guess it wasn't live though....only televised maybe delayed or something..i don't know...anyywas...peace yah all !

  • dam John Lowes was recorded by cams... but shown LATER on TV - so NOT live! This here by Shaun was LIVE

    :-)

  • John lowes was live just watch the video barneyveld darts

  • it was NOT live davidson294.......

  • yes it was watch the dang video

  • @davidson294 naw it wisnae u twat

  • right gadgee... lol

  • coote looks a lil like orlando bloom

  • orlando bloom is a cunt

  • I've gone out in 9 darts, but that was because the first eight all missed the double.

  • This was the first "live" 9 darter! John Lowe's and Paul Lim's were televised but off recorded footage. Shaun's was the first shown as it happened - and the shame of it was he only got 200 euros for it!

  • Why so little?

  • not a big tournament!

  • who cares?

  • тип однако

  • I thought Paul Lim in 1990 was the first one. (Also on Youtube)

  • yes, but paul lims 9 darter was not LIVE on television. it was just recorded.

  • i mean the first televised 9-darter was in 1984

  • the first 9-darter was in 1984

    John Lowe was THE man

  • this was the first televised 9 darter it may not have been shown live but it was still televised

  • @MrClarkyson - there seems to be a fair amount of belief that John Lowe's 9-darter in 1984 was the first televised one. Seriously, the idea of it not happening until 2002 is a bit unrealistic, don't you think....

  • @Rigler01

If you read the video tag properly it says that it was the first LIVE televised 9 darter. John lowes was not live.........

  • John lowe was the first person to do a live 9 dart finish i mean its in guness book

  • I heard that Lowe's 9 darter was the first one ever on TV but it wasn't live. Dunno, maybe it was...

  • John Lowe's wasn't live.

  • @666Tormentor666 lowes was can every1 shus bout it now

  • @666Tormentor666 There is a big misunderstanding about this and it has to do with what was taped for later broadcast and what was broadcast live. Lowe's 9 darter in '84 was taped for TV but it was not broadcast live. This one here was the first one broadcast live on TV but because it was only shown in the Netherlands, it is often ignored. Taylor vs. Mason '02 was the first 9 darter to be televised live in Britain and as such is often erroneously credited as being the first 9 darter on live TV.

  • this wasnt the first televised one!

  • @drail2007 First live one though

  • @drail2007 first live moron

  • @drail2007 LIVE. as in LIVE BROADCAST

  • @drail2007 the first live!! TV one

  • R.I.P

  • has any1 ever went 3x 167's ???

  • i know i would love to see someone like taylor attempt it when miles ahead or sumthin

  • I'm sorry but I don't see what difference it makes if it's broadcast live or a little later. The fact is that it's in front of an audience and that makes it "live" no matter when the TV company decides to show it.

  • i thought phill taylor got the first live n darter in 2002?

  • he did

  • did the commentator say thay was rapeage lol??

  • john lowe mad the first televised 180 a long time before paul lim. i saw it live

  • John Lowe's wasn't live and Paul Lim's too.... the first LIVE televised 9-Darter did this dutch guy here.

  • Greatbatch is British lol

  • no one said he wasnt u clown

  • that wasnt shown live so your wrong

  • Nice...smooth...just like John Lowe

Question: wasn't it John Lowe who shot first 9 darter ? Or Paul Lim ? Story change but I was under impression it was Lowe

  • so this was the first live 9 dart?? Sky say it was Taylor at the matchplay. Sky must be lying

  • yes sky is lying! what sky mean is that taylor made the first televised 9 darter in UK, but shaun greatbatch made the first televised 9 darter in the world!

  • go on cootey!

  • Yeah, All his darts were dead center. Awesome leg!!!

  • this was the first live 9 darter john lowe and paul lims were recorded and shown later on tv

  • You know what I want to see as a nine-darter? 180, 151, and a top 170 checkout. Anyone ever done that?

  • hmmm.....the 151 is a stupid shot...how would you shoot it ? pro's don't shoot in this pattern. of course, unless you slap one dart into D20 ....

  • ...or two in the bullseye? Never watched Bobby George play? You may think it's a stupid shot - but the prize money you'd get for it would be something else. Top checkout and a televised nine-darter? Hundreds of thousands, mate. If you were several legs in front, and hit the first 180 - it's worth a go, surely. It certainly would be unique. It's about the last 'unique' thing that you could do on a dartboard that hasn't yet been done on TV, isn't it? There is no such thing as a stupid shot! ^_^

  • Camberwell86: my response was to a post about 10 posts bellow. Unfortunatelly, YouTube didn't file it as it was intedned: right below the original post.

Anyways, the question If somebody saw to shoot 9 darter in this order: 180, 151, 170 out. I am sorry dude...I have never seen 9-darter shot this way- even though it is a mathematical out. I just wondered, how ( ... and why ) would somebody shoot 151 in the middle of the game. Don't deny it couldn't not happen - but certainly not live on TV

  • its possile during the double start tournament the pdc do in ireland that someone could lways start with a 151 in shoot then go 180 170 to finish the leg

  • this is the first time i've been able to watch this video without it being crap quality good work also this was a brilliant 9 darter because the dart for the treble 20 was dead centre as was the one for treble 15 and double 18 never seen this from Taylor who always has at least one on the wire of the bed going for the 141

  • yeah but that makes no difference hes english not dutch , so the 1st ever live 9 darter thrown was thrown by an englishman

  • yes.
