I hate to burst the bubble to you but like Romeo and Juliet both Anne Frank and Peter died in real life during the Holocaust. Anne Frank is a great holocaust movie one of the best. But my favorite Holocaust movie has to be Schindler's list(It's unfortunate that Oskar Schindler couldn't save Anne Frank as well).

Well Audrey Hepburn was orginally the first choice to play Anne but she she was too old by then and apparently she turned it down as well because of her own painful memories of World War 2. She was also Otto Frank's, anne's dad, choice to play his daughter but in the end they picked Millie Perkins, who is not concidentally the spitting image of a younger Audrey
