OH - I forgot to tell you I also made this recipe too. (except I used salmon) A it was so good we ended up making them twice this week. Next time I might use imitation crab meat.
Not sure if I mentioned this before, but I absolutely love your cooking videos :o)
Allison... I will try this recipe out first chance I can eat this type food again. My surgery date is in 13 days (oct. 29th), so I'm liquid dieting right now. I LOVE your videos, from the first post to today. You have been a great inspiration to me. You've come a long way Allison. I'll let you know how the recipe works for me soon.
Actually this takes out some of that fishy taste....I think it might be the mayo? Also, if you use the flax seed meal or wheat germ instead of bread crumbs it would be even less fishy too.
so, I was watching theonepotchefshow the other day, and he was showing how to make meatballs - and I have made meatballs before - with the exact same ingredients he used...but one step he did made me think, it'd probably work for this too. He put the meat (in this case tuna cakes formed) in fridge for 15 min. He says it helps firm, so I guess less of a chance of falling apart... maybe you don't have that problem - but it's just a thought. Thanks-I'm gonna try this!!
YES!!! This looks so good!!! I will try it this weekend... I will share with you Monday or Tuesday an Imitation Crab Cake that I make with regular Corn Flakes instead of the Bread Crumbs ..... Thanks for sharing!!!!
yeah, that's gonna be my mission too lol! haha but you saw how excited I was about the wheat germ last night lol!!!!!!! OMGOSH Allison - you should try it too - when you make chicken breast for Joe... season it first, and then dip it in wheat germ, and put a tiny tab of butter on top when baking - it's flippin amazing... I love it! hahah Rocky sold me on Wheat Germ!
You could use the wheat germ! I saw the brand you use and I think I'll give it a shot this week...It has quite a bit of extra protein too. Pepper flakes would be great in this one!

I like Tuna sandwiches... but when you cook tuna, does it make the tuna taste "fishy"??? -Linda

Yea I think the tuna packets would work well...I love the Whole Foods 365 tuna because it's more chunky.
