There was a world struggle between "Communism" and "Capitalism". In the North, the communist (Soviet) found a men, HoChiMinh, with a perfect background to do the communist's job in VN, and in the South, capitalist (USA) had to find a person to carry their strategy "Stopping RED". VN became a battle of this struggle. We fought and killed our brothers!

If we were smart and had good leaders, our "Unification" would be liked Germany today.

German's unification was basically the elimination of the Eastern government whose duties were replaced by the Western government. The West, to this day, still has to subsidise the economy of the east.

The communists in Vietnam would never have allowed such a Unification to take place.
