  • Instrument is, in Japanese, called a Taisho Koto (sometimes Taisho goto). Accoustic and semi-accoustic versions available. There is a very similar instrument in indian music. Basically it is a 3 to 4 string dulcimer, which uses keys (like a piano) that push the strings down onto the fret board.

  • The drummer is mana from god.

  • Amazing performance. These two guys are great. I really love Michael Flower's instrument, but I can't find anywhere what it is exactly. I read somewhere it's a japanese banjo, but if I search for japanese banjos, the only ones I find are those with the thin and long neck and three stringed. I'd be very happy if I could own this instrument.

  • @miravalles I'm not sure what it's called but it might be a 'shaahi baaja'.

  • @damnsavage Oh, as merntioned below! The weight of evidence is mounting...

  • @miravalles I think that might be an electric koto... Sure looks like one to me.

  • @miravalles i think its an electric version of an "indian banjo"

  • Love the lightening bolt comment. That's exactly what it sounds like. Amazing and noisy.

  • I was at this gig, and I'm glad it sounds as good as I remember! - amazing music.
