I am working on a 1976 MK 111. I am getting old so know how to tune it, A new fuel pump 78 degree thermo. new thermo for the fans with constant live to the relay, to cool the engine after it is switched off, a high output coil, new dizzy cap, leads and plugs. All basic stuf. A great reliable car you can trust to drive anywhere. It dose 4 Kils. to a liter. Not when I drive it though, the owner is very gentle.
This & Jensen's FF ( Which i am quite baised towards given who designed it's Four Wheel Drive System) were some of the finest cars ever made and since almost all Interceptors were Built Before 1973 (apart from some MKIII's & MKIV's [which are quite rare]) they are Exempt from Road Tax & To Silence those who say that Interceptors & FF's just drink Fuel and Overheat THEY DON'T IF you Convert them to Fuel Injection & Multiple Valves per cylinder & install Electric Fans to Cool it at low speeds.
You'll probably spit in disgust when I say this, but, I meant Ian Ogilvy as the Saint..........pretty sure he had a Jensen.....either way ........Luuuuurve Jensens....
Hey, before I came over to the states in '93 I compeletely rebuilt and sold my Black Metallic Mk3. Anyone seen it recently? You'd know if you did, it's pretty distinctive...
It was the Protectors rather than the Persuaders. At least the presenter didn't ask if Princess Anne had one of these...
I remember seeing the rug over the back end of the car - this was to cover up a big dent caused when a Polish lorry driver went into the back of it on the way to the show....
Most European engines are much smaller and higher revving. By calling a 7.3L V8 engine "lazy" he means it doesn't have to work very hard to get the job done.

@00TriedandTested00
Roger Moore's "Saint" had a Volvo P1800 - the earliest of which was made by Jensen, but that's as close as it gets!

Nope, no spitting from me! I enjoyed "Return of the Saint" - but he had an early Jaguar XJS, I'm sure!
No matter, you have excellent taste in vehicles! +:o)
