It's amazing how Dennis Kucinich was at the top of the polls during the 2008 primaries and disappeared from public view when he stated he would breakup the monopoly of the media. He was even uninvited from the debates and had to go to court to be in several of them. Dennis Kucinich for President in 2012.

Dennis Kucinich is one of a handful of [s]elected representatives who has a moral center which guides him in his work. We should all be proud of his courage and strength, and let him know it!
Maybe other [s]elected representatives will wake up and follow his leadership. Maybe we CAN have a government FOR the people and NOT for the corporate state.
BOTH Merryl Lynch and Bank Of America experienced surges in purchases of put options on stocks in the days prior to 9/11. This is not conspiracy theory, its fact. Damn scary too.
and also it's not just Republicans that are destroying the country. Both parties are. Most people vote for one candidate over another because of the lesser of two evils. What pisses me off about politicians is that they think they can just violate the constitution whenever they feel like it. Even though they took an oath to "Preserve Protect and Defend the Constitution of the U.S." and that's why I am pissed off at Kucinich because he now thinks that too.
They shake in their boots when Kucinich is questioning them. They did the same when McKinney was doing the questioning. Corruption shakes when confronted with honesty.
People talk about the Free Market all the time, and then out of the other side of the same garbled mouth they say people like communists & anarchists are ridiculous & living in a dream world. I believe that may be true, but not any less true than the ideal of a free market, which is basically an academic construct--an ideal...a goal...but not real &, perhaps, never attainable (like those other 2 economic & political structures)
There is no panacea. The Free Market is not perfect because it is operated by people. People are failable. That's why we have regulations. Because we can't trust ourselves to always do the right thing,
Government is not the best solution on its own either. 'Casue people reside there too.
See, this is what gets me frustrated. The Democrats fell for the "we are united for change" rhetoric by Clinton, Obama, Edwards, and Richardson. They don't represent any kind of change.
And how do we get rid of greed and people who fit that term?
and for god sakes stop comparing him to Ron Paul. The two of them have voted on opposite sides 85% of the time. again watch what they do not what they say.
You are right, Kucinich is for a strong oversight over corporate fraud, crime, and monopolies. On the other hand, Ron Paul and his naivety would allow corporations to police themselves. L...O....L
Don't confuse an official for and by the people like Dennis for a corporate fetishist, nut job like Paul.
Actually the free market would police the corporations. Lack of regulation is not what caused the current crisis, rather the large amount of regulation that already exists in the financial sector. It is the "naivety" that government knows best that is destroying this country because as we have seen, the government can't do anything right. Funny how Ron Paul was the "nut job" who saw this all coming from the start. But his cries always seem to fall on deaf/ignorant ears. Isn't it a pity.
Seems to me the only thing worth laughing at is the regulation that was supposed to be policing the market....well that and your pathetic response. So thank you for the laugh as well.
You naive, delusional fool. You think with 8 years of bush, 4 years of the centrist clinton, and than 12 more years of right wing control we've had real regulation? You're a loon, there's no point even talking to someone who thinks corporations will police themselves.
It isn't right wing or left wing. Let's begin with the biggest regulator of them all...the FED whose manipulation of interest rates helped feed the greed of the corporations by basically giving them free money. Let's move on the Community Reinvestment Act that pushed many banks into that idiotic lending. Corporations would not have done such stupid things because in a free market, when a business is ran poorly, it fails....self-preservation is the incentive, you ignorant fool.
Kucinich really does slam corporations harder than Paul. Some people who follow the works of Noam Chomsky consider Ron Paul the worst candidate they could support.
Paul voted for Bush's bankruptcy bill, repealing the estate tax that only the super rich pay, and class action reform act or Trot reform. This makes it diffcult for people to sue corporations in areas like if a product causes harm to a consumer or something. Example would toys that have been bought but are unsafe for children and get recalled.
Bart seriously go to Kucinich's website, watch a few speeches, check out his platform. See the stuff he has done for us, then go see what Ron Paul did, case closed.
Speeches? Any crappy politician can make speeches? What about Dennis's speech at the 2008 DNC when he said "Up with peace. Up with Prosperity. Up with the Democratic Party. Up with Obama and Biden" Where's the peace? Where's the prosperity? As I said before. Watch what they do not what they say.
Well obviously you haven't been following the Kuch very closely, he reluctantly supported Obama. I do watch what he does and he is the best 1 we got dude. After the primary it is customary to support the winning candidate of your party, it only proves he is a man of honor. Besides down with Republicans by all means!!! Republicans have destroyed this county, made it an absolute mess. Read hr 676, check out all the bills he supported or created, was the only 1 going for Impeachment of Bush&Cheney
Why did he have to support Obama? Mike Gravel didn't. In fact he left the Democratic Party. Alan Keyes refused to support McCain after he clinched the nomination and Keyes also left the Republican Party. Ron Paul also refused to support McCain and he's still technically a Republican.
Kucinich is stuck within the mess, he works with what he has got, but the republicans have destroyed hundred of thousands of lives in my lifetime. Your are just being an idiot, nonfactual Jibberish.
Getting news from your church leaders is not a good thing . I will not respond to anymore of your crap.
Men of Honor, like I said, Republicans were self imploding last election and they will continue in the next few.
and yes he did try to get Bush and Cheney impeached and I condemn him for that but again I don't condemn him for helping the corrupt congress trash the 13th amendment and yes it does trash it. Why do you think Ron Paul voted against it?
Are you saying 1 guy makes an effort to charge a group of republican Liars, that led us to an illegal war based on lies, killing over a million Iraqi innocents, thousands of USA troops, spreading depleted uranium threw the sands if Iraq, bankrupting America ,,,,,You condemn Kucinich for trying to stop it? Yeah even though Dennis voted for the president's corrupt spending bill without even reading it, He voted for and co-sponsored the Hitler Youth Program. Which makes Volunteerism mandatory. Wake up America! If Dennis stabbed us in the back before how do we know he's not bound to do it again like almost every other politician does?! Watch what he does not what he says. Ron Paul on the other hand is consistent in what he does and he is our last hope.

ok whoever gave my comment a thumbs down.. seems to have been 4 different people you obviously can't handle the truth. Kucinich may not be as much of a scumbag as most politicians are, but he is indeed a scumbag.
May I remind you this bill he and others co-sponsered trashed the 13th amendment. Look it up. Google U.S. House of Representatives and just take a good look at bill no. H.R.1388. The proof is all there.
I looked at the bill, anything Denis Kucinich agrees with CAN NOT be bad for the people.
Civil service isn't that bad, unless the civil servants are being trained to police us, the bill doesn't say that, it's a wait and see. So please Bart wait till the shit hits the fan before you spread any more crap.
and how can anyone in there right mind call it volunteerism if it's mandatory?! Volunteer is when you offer to do something with no pay. This isn't volunteerism this is slavery!!

Thank you for helping HR 1207 to Audit the Fed, Dennis! Now if you would just please keep your hands off the 2nd Amendment, we the Restoration Movement would be able to back you up more. You're cool though, dude.
This dog and pony show on C-span is getting stale, no one goes to jail and no one loses there ill-gotten gains, they just go on and keep doing the same thing over and over again, and you politicians just wag your finger and scold them. I agree with you, but you are probably aware how the "mainstream" has treated dennis kucinich and ron paul as "kooks". They are friends and i am sure dennis would have been the first if ron asked, this way is just more fitting.
If a bill has at least 218 co-sponsors, members can file a discharge petition to force the bill out of committee and onto the House floor for a vote, without getting committee approval.
Yeah, it is odd that Kucinich would wait so long to co-sponsor something like this. He's spoken for Fed transparency before, and he is good friends with Rep. Paul.

Brandt761 2 years ago
HR 1207 is the federal reserve transparency act of 2009. This will allow the GAO to audit the fed and report to Congress.
218 is significant because it means more than half of the 435 US House representitves has sponsored the bill.
