Actually my vista is fine. The only problem I had was those security warnings, which I turned off. And I can run really old dos games and other stuff that people say isn't compatible, just by putting it in compatibility mode for Win 2000 and running as admin. Simple.

@f4saken That is the difference between Linux and Windows. Linux dont try to fuck up the security. When the UAC was actually the only good thing about vista, it was also horrible in usability. So everyone turned UAC off making the system way weaker.

Microsoft is partly to blame, good idea but bad implementation, but honestly, most Windowsusers dont care shit about security in the first place, so no wonder they all get virus so easily. They deserve that OS.

How do you like having almost no software that is compatible unless you Boot Camp it which slows down the applications? I have worked with Mac OS, Windows (XP, Vista, ), Ubuntu, FreeBSD, Unix, Debian, and several other Linux Distributions. With Macs, you have very little options with your software and hardware. Macs are also very expensive. For the same price, you could buy a just as powerful computer with additional memory and a blu-ray drive.

My parents recently bought a dell laptop. You're probably thinking "So what?" Well, they turned it on, and low and behold, it has the exact same type of toolbar that the macs have had for I have no idea how long. The type where it has all the icons and you can turn on the magnifier to make the icons bigger as you move your cursor over them? Yeah, that one.

Windows became stable when they released Windows NT 3 in 1993 - a whole new operating system that has no connection to the Win 95/98/ME series. The XP release is actually NT 5.

COPYING:

Mac licensed (i.e. paid) Xerox to use their design in 1984. Mcirosoft merely copied it (and got sued) in the late 80s. Then MS created Windows 95 which copied most of the Mac features, including a trashcan, empty trash, arrange icons, and shutdown procedure.

MS doesn't innovate - they just copy Mac.
