  • If health was of no concern, what would you do to improve the soup?

I was thinking frying the onions in butter, or adding a few tablespoons of thick cream, or adding some goats cheese on top. Not to make it a creamy soup, but just a bit richer. So as not to overpower the coriander.

  • @superhamzah85

I made a basic but nice tasting carrot & corriander soup.

I always hope that viewers will makethe recipe their own. Your recipe sounds very nice, give it a try and let me know how it turns out :)

  • Mmm-MMM! Now on to see if you've got a Walnut bread recipe! =)

  • @HolmespuninkSpot

I have a bread machine and some walnuts. That helps out sometimes.

However I must confess that I did not make the loaf in this vid.

    Thanks for watching :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @chezmeg

    Hi Chez,

How amazing is salt. I must try that one day adding salt to sour fruit to make sweet. Sounds bizarre but very interesting!

Thanks for sharing a little more of you knowledge.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • quite possibly the simplest soup. i never thought to use coriander as a major flavoring - usually a garnish. there's a lot of flavor and goodness in the stalks, don't be scared to use or eat them. thanks for the recipe.

  • @kumquatsta

Simple is often the best! Corriander really does ad a lovely flavour to the soup and as you have pointed out there is a lot of flavours in the stalks. Great tip and nice to hear from you.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • ! Yum all up

  • @tomber220

  • i just tried this out! my laptop was on my kitchen counter and I followed this video step by step while cooking it and it came out fantastic! my brother thought i was brilliant for making such a great tasting soup lol

  • @cremeinyourcoffee

    Hi Chef :))

Great job with the laptop idea in the kitchen. Makes things nice and easy, no taking notes!

The problem you now have with your brother is everytime you cook along with your laptop he will be expecting everything to be brilliant. I am glad you both enjoyed the soup and well done!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • @OriginalNakedChef

haha thanks!! oh that's not going to be a problem because I'll have your channel to watch and follow the recipes and I'm sure it will be as fantastic as everything I've tried out from this channel so far!

hope you have a lovely day ahead :)

  • @sawN1337

Nice one! As long as I remember to tell everyone how to make it good again :)

Glad you like the vids and really nice to hear from you again.

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Looks very delicious!! Thx for this recipe.

  • @ilikethewok

Thanks you for dropping in so regular and nice to hear from you :)

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Have you ever considered sauteing the carrots first for the fried flavor.. Just a thought nice recipe.

  • @Scootermagoo

That sounds like a great suggestion. Next time I make the soup I will give that ago.

    Thanks for that!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • I made this recipe but didn't use coriander leaves, I just used coriander seeds. I'm one of those unfortunate people that for whatever reason perceives coriander leaves as having a very "soapy" taste. A lot of indian/asian dishes are almost impossible for me to eat for that very reason.

Pity me, it's a truly tragic thing!

  • @Burguois

I have never hear that one before. However corriander seeds are a great alternative. The bad news for you is the fact you are missing out on some really deleciuos indian/asian dishes.

So the thought of eating freshly cut corriander must be a torture for you :(

Thanks for sharing that and I am sure that you are not alone.

    OriginalNakedChef :)

  • One of my favorite soups! It that walnut bread?

  • @NoobsyPoopsy

Very nice to hear from you :)

Carrot and coriander soup a simple but delicious soup.

    That was walnut bread. Yum!

    OriginalNakedChef

  • Great recipe, it's really similar to mine carrot soup, I could even say identical :)

You really sound like you know what you are doing, professional, and lightening in video is great, just like in studio.

  • @846524162

    That’s a really nice comment :)

Its always nice to hear that viewers approve of the recipe and if its identical to yours, that no bad thing.

I think I am lucky with the set up I have, great camera and some very useful spotlights and a brilliant audience. What more could I ask :))

    Really appreciated OriginalNakedChef

  • I like it.

  • @DC180

    Nice one!
