  • look at that flute players fingers! shes/he's good

  • That tuba player kick some serious ass too! ;)

  • There hasn't been a tuba player like this since!

  • That was a very good baritone(horn) player. Peace.

  • Castle Park Letterette wanna-be's

  • If they were wanna-be's, then why did Chula's Letterettes beat Castle Park's Letterettes by a 3-point difference at Maytime 1990???

  • That doesn't mean anything if they won at Maytime!! Maybe they were good at copying CP. Is there anything original about the CV Leterettes? I'm not trying to be mean but I think it's quite obvious!

  • If you look closely at the videos from both CV and CP (from the same time period), both Letterette groups have different routine styles. That's obvious. CV Letterettes just happened to be better than CP in 1990, not because they copied CP, but they were a better corp that year.

  • I know one thing I remember from CP's letterettes... They used the SAME ROUTINE year after year after year! Just look at all of CP's parade videos. At least CV had a different routine each year.

  • actually if you look at all the videos you can see that the routines are different. A lot of the videos are from 90-91, so they look the same. Also the roll off was always the same, but that was only like 3 counts of 8. I'm not arguing either way, i think both schools were tremendous in back in the day.

  • Jealous much?

  • Let's see...one group are trojans, the other, spartans. I don't recall Castle Park ever having the patent on I.D.Units, or headgear for that matter.

  • The thing that CV and CP did share was the person that custom made their head gear. Letterette U, do you remember her name? She used to have a little store on 3rd street in Chula Vista.

  • No idea. I could email Nicole and see if she remembers.

  • Damn the letters are Awsome

  • That's some good tootin'. Sounds as good as a seated concert band.
