The GS is an awesome machine. I really miss the handling and power now that I'm riding a KLR, but the KLR is a lot more fun off road.

Oh man I loved it when you blew past that guy under braking, what squids. LOL You are a rider my friend. I to "own" sportbikers on my old R/100/GS, gimme some twistys and I'll leave um like they're teathered to stump. I just love my old GS, I'm not real sold on the Telelever, I have an R1100R with it and prefer my forks on the GS. There is a confidence you gain in a GS when it comes to handling, they are just sooo good and natural feeling it allows you to push it way deeper then most are willing

I am using Anakee ii's. They do fine on the track. The brakes fade long before traction is an issue.

Not really. Sport bikes really pull hard.

Does anyone know if the GS has the same acceleration as the sports bikes? Obviously doesnt have the top end.
