very cool! with ray wilsons (mfos) assitance i have a come up with a super cool mod that affects the 4 bit control pulses on the 40193 chip that determines what step is played and when.. it basicly gives you "variations" of your linear pattern that ARE not random and quite controllable. heres the link to blog on it. you will have to go back to some older posts.. but its all there. thanks for the cool video! heres the link :
Great idea for the video, totally cool. I use Adobe Premier Elements 3.0 and it lets you set the duration for images. I have read good and bad reviews but it's pretty stable and works for me on a DELL Dimension E520 (3GHz 2GB RAM) on Vista.
I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9 and it's very powerful and reasonably priced (30 free trial then under $100) I was just playing around with it and it was fairly easy to set up the timeline ruler for measures and beats and set the snap function on. I set it to quarter notes and then it was easy to resize each picture to the correct length etc. It would be nice to be able to batch process the pictures to be all the same length but I haven't figured out if that is an option or not.
Very cool! Maybe this will inspire me to work on mine! ;-)
I was thinking that if you photo background had 4 bolts/nails/pins comming out of it you could position it perfectly each time so there wouldn't be any obvious board movement.
Thanks for your comment. I just made up my mind to shoot whatever I make from now on. I made me a rig where the camera is triggered by a foot switch so there will be hopefully lots of videos made this way.. (and lengthier.) my problem is to find an editing software that allows me to import image sequences where I can define each photo's duration.. (to match the beat.) If you have any suggestions please shoot
