Haha! I just noticed Johnny did the bunny-ears with the glockenspiel sticks to Colin at 27:30 like he did in that other video of There There with the drums stick to Thom :D
When I saw this concert on video for the first time it was on muchmusic in 1997 or 98' (can't remember) and I remember thinking that this is the best concert ever, these guys are awesome. been a fan ever since.
@codtarded what about melody? or knowing and memorizing all of the effect settings? and, do you know how hard it is to play live? to sing live? and to get the dynamics of the songs down perfectly? someone should spit on you...
i remember an interview from 2007 where thom said that a friend of his (who'd only known him for the last few years) winded up watching one of these 1997 concerts -on tv or whatever- and the guy just couldn't believe it was the same thom because he looked so ill and unhappy. watching this video, i guess he kind of does look ill...i can only imagine how exhausting the touring process was for them :(
I'm surprised, for a vid that's been scaled up from 688x528 to 1280x960, the vid quality at 480p is really good, audio's great too. thanks for the upload dude
As much as I love the Kid/Amnesiac era, OK computer will always be my fave. If only I was old enough to appreciate Radiohead back then. But I was only 12 in 1997 and too young and dumb to appreciate what good music was. Ah well, I guess that's why we have YouTube. Thanks for uploading! Awesome set!
@WickedLiquid I have the same feeling.I was 6 years old then......When I was 17,I discovered Radiohead. How I wish I was born some more years earlier!!!
I taped this show off Much Music in 1998 and couldn't stop watching it. The broadcast also included Fake Plastic Trees, Planet Telex, and Climbing Up The Walls. Damn, I wish those were a part of this version, as all those performances were just as amazing as the ones uploaded here. Hope the other songs are floating around somewhere, as all my bootlegs went up in flames in the early 2000's!
@m1lkm4n I have a 15 song version on my computer, except the swear words are muted out in TSH and wherever else they are. When I have more time I'll have to take the audio from this video and switch it with the other video so that I can add the 3 songs. Either that or simply paste the other songs in where they are supposed to be.
@astheends I'll take a look as to where the video is, I think it is on my PC in England, and I live in Canada at the moment. Hopefully the torrent I used is still in good working order and I can get it again. Can't promise anything I'm afraid.
@AustinBrock Please, it would be awesome to have another 1997 version for those three songs! (P.S. - This is one of the best Radiohead performances on YouTube for me as well!) ;-)
@AustinBrock I already knew yr. Glastonbury footage (that one is my favourite Radiohead performance ever, of course)... but I wasn't aware of the Hammerstein concert. Thanks a lot! I've always appreciated what you do for the fans of the biggest band in the World. ;-)
hahaha I was there just face to face with Thom. I took them a lot of pictures. Also I gave a five to the biohazard singer. He screamed very exited! hahahaha
Wouah!!!
just want to thank you for these videos austin, they really are the bollocks. keep up the good work and may all your efforts be rewarded in heaven.... but hopefully before :-)
Changes guitars whilst we're looking at Jonny. As it flips back you can see him putting the other guitar's strap over his head and fiddling with the controls.
well, remember this was a low point period for the band, Meeting People Is Easy shows it clearly... but be happy they didn't give up!! Now they have such a great time I think!! :)

this is the first time i really listened to radio, but im disappointed
musically (is that a word?) they r not really good,
they only have effects, that's the only thing...
actually its even bad
again not meant as insulting
but this music doesnt require any skill
