amen. Very good I was also bullyed also when i was in school. I was crying and I am still am for Jamey and his family. I wish I could have meet him. He was so young and he did not deserve to die. I know he killed himself, that is why I wanted to have known him to let him know it is not worth it. AMEN You did a great job. We all need to stand up and stop this bullying IT GETS BETTER!!!!!!!

Everytime I hear this story it makes me upset. The boy knew who he was, was proud, but yet just did not learn to ignore others and block out what others thought. He was proud. He let the judgment and hate of others get to him, which is common now-a-days. Kids and people in general need to realize that gays, blacks, whites, and unique others are all around us---get over it!

I think his family is in shock. I can't imagine losing a child and then having the strength to get in front of a camera. When the anger hits them, they might become more active. I think Jamie really covered how much pain he was in, maybe even to protect his family. I watch his It Gets Better video and to me it's obvious - he voice immediately starts quivering when he's talking about the harassment. Clearly he still wasn't dealing with it well, but of course, hindsight makes it easier to see...

I think kids are very desensitized these days. They watch blood and gore videos and movies. Death is nothing except entertainment. The messages Jamie was receiving before he died clearly stated it would be better if he died. It might affect the bullies as they get older and look back with regret, but I think we are living in a society with a hate epidemic. How this happened could fill a whole book, but society is way off track. It's bigger than just adjustingor creating a few laws.

Do you really think Jamie's suicide will bother the bullies that harassed him? I doubt it. Too much hate in the world and no one cares. Look at any comment section - nasty haters not carrying what they say to people they don't even know. What is wrong with the world that it has so much hate. Your hearing more about his love for Lady Gaga in stuff like that. I find it really hard not to believe. That people aren't trying to get some kind of fame off his story.

RIP to Jamey. Good video. I was bullied, teased, and ostracized in school and at home; by my classmates, friends, parents, family friends,etc. I was called almost every name in the book. It hurts and I suffer from depression and suicidal thoughts from it but I'm trying to work through it. I know it's hard. I agree the schools usually do nothing and expect the kids to stand up for themselves or suffer. My senior year of HS my 3 theatre school teachers told me to "grow a spine".
