  • Amen. The deer herd here is slowly improving, yearling deer killed has gone down 20% in the past 10 years. It is simple though, the people cannot make the change there is too many hunters, they need to limit to 1 buck per year, and enable antler point restrictions!

  • go put your time in like everyone else and you will shoot a deer its not the dnr's fault if you put in the time in michigan that you put in everywhere else you will probably shoot a deer

  • He's obviously dumb enough to make a video while he's DRIVING.....so it's doubtful that he's smart enough to actually know how to HUNT deer!!! What a whiny little bee-otch!!!

  • as...I am going to hope that you changed out of your hunting clothes and into non-hunting travel clothes when you got back into your truck. If not, you have contaminated everything by sitting on that seat and rubbing your seatbelt against your jacket--it all needs to be rewashed before going in the field again. Mature bucks in MI will not tolerate the scent load you can get off the interior of a truck.

  • Btw, just saw an 8-point the other day. Try hunting somewhere else. There's TONS of state land in Michigan.

  • I think I would have laughed my ass off if he hit something while he was filming this.

  • some people need the five doe's to feed their families. crybaby.

  • If you dont like michigan so much, then dont hunt here. simple as that.

  • what a little bitch

  • true dat man!!

  • michigan has the most deer hunters out of any state, over 500,000 and the reason people shoot younger deer is because theres no old ones because the winter is soo cold here

  • THANK YOU!! All of the other midwestern states produce a large amount of huge whitetails. They have greater restrictions on the size of the buck that you can shoot. The DNR won't change, its all about the money. Well put.

  • i always see big buck i live in davison and hunt in combilville and i see at least 5 or 6 nice 8 or 9 point bucks

  • if u dont like it dont come to michigan faggot go hunt on a ranch some were else

  • The DNR rocks. the only reason we dont see lots of big bucks is because the dear are pressured, and crappy hunter like you cry and then blame it on the dnr. i shoot a nice deer or a doe every year. We are lucky there is some states thsat cant feed. Also its more fun haveing a challenge.

  • Thank god they lifted the ban took long enough plus the seasons are way to close together they should spread them out like a week or two to let the deer somewhat calm down

  • See thats the problem. Too many hunters during gun season killing off the baby bucks . Shoot the does . Way to many does out there .

  • The MI DNR will wake up when we all boycott purchasing licenses and not hunt for a year. Just like the crossbow issue, once license sales are down, their so called morals go out the window and they'll make legal what was once illegal to attract license sales, plain and simple. Nothing against crossbows, just the DNRs stance on the issues and what drives them, same with the screw in tree steps and bait, their looking out for their money, not the hunter or hunter safety.

  • i live in southern michigan and i shoot a nice 8 point or bigger every year

  • @13craj Congrats your in shotgun territory

  • @hubbars5 no im not, i live right near the border, it hooks around i75 back past pinconning

  • Ill agree with you that its harder in MI to find a big buck but you not killing a doe would be 100% your fault

  • I have to agree with deerslayer2446 . We have to many hunters shooting little bucks.

  • @muskytownman i understand your point of view and this guys and congrates on your kill but not everybody hunts state land or wants to they may have a piece of property that connects to some one elses and while this guy is trying ot manage his deer the guy in the woods next to him isnt and will shot everything. it is partley the DNRs fault and to them its a money game just like the no bait rule its a joke the deer was found in a cage not in the wild when they bring back baiting we will have topay

  • What a little Crybaby Bitch. Face it man, you suck as a hunter. Don't bash the DNR and make the piss poor excuses of how its so great in Iowa, Ohio, etc. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about and clearly you are a bad hunter. I've been hunting state land in Newaygo county all week and have taken a buck and a doe and have seen numerous other deer. Go hangout at a deer check station and tell the hundreds of folks bringing in nice deer its a fluke...YOUR A JOKE

  • I am avid fisherman , so this video does not bother me. I like nature and deer but do not like hunting them.

Interesting fact about huting in Michigan for Bucks.

  • Where are you hunting that you didn't at lease take a Doe or 2 over a 3 months period?

  • exactley the dnr are just doin it for the money. i diddnt kill not one deer were im at and the propertey we hunt we usually get prolly 5 deer total a year. last year only one buck was killed it was a nice 8 but really we only see shooter bucks in the summer. now they have the early doe wich allowes you to use a gun. befor bow wich totally ruins it for bow season. the deer are already spooked. i think bow should be befor the uth and early doe or they shouldnt have early doe hunt at all

  • If we had a managment for bucks then MI could produce monster bucks that will beat Iowa, Texas and Canada

  • But I still harvest 5-10 doe a year for 3 reasons. Deer population and doe to buck ratio. With every doe killed is equal to 2-5 deer not on the property. number 2. Feed my family. I only keep 3 or 4 deer a year to eat. number 4. I give the rest to hunters for the hungary or the family down the road that dont have alot of money. 5 doe in some areas are not obserd, but 2 buck tags and no restrictions on racks are bullshit!

  • But I hunt in Tuscola county, we are the 2nd highest deer per mile population in the state. Sanilac and huron county, the thumb is were u find the 3 counties are densly populated with deer. We only shoot 8pts with a spread wider then there ears and heavy horned. people around us still shoot 6 and 4's but see us shoot big boys year after year and are starting to hold off

  • Also those hunters would still shoot little bucks with the restrictions b/c they dont care or stop hunting all together. The dnr is not funded by the state, but by us hunters and fisherman and all our tags.If they stop hunting, no money, 7 deer tags in a year equal $105.

  • They wont change because hunters wont change. Most MI hunters would rather shoot a spike or 4pt to say I got a buck then to shoot a doe for meat and let the little ones go. Also to many of the same hunters would blow a gasget if the antler restrictions took place
