@nuterwq321 It's not difficult exactly. You just have to be careful and watch closely what your plane is doing. You don't want your plane to just drop into the water and you also don't want to touch down with the nose up too much. Don't slow the plane donw 'till it stalls, that's whenn the nose is too high and your plane will start bouncing. It's all about the feeling for your plane. For the beginning, take a plane that is easy to fly and that you know very well.
@nuterwq321 then practice you approaches. they should be smooth and stabilized. If you have the feeling that it's just not right, go around and try again. Don't force the plane down, that when you have a good chance to lose it. Watch other videos and look closely at the landings and analyze them. If it was a not so good landing, look what was wrong and what outcome did it have. If it's a nice landing, look how the pilot did it.
Again, it's all about the feeling for the aircraft.
@kona357 Thanks. Right now I cannot do any video about that. I'm not home until November. Maybe when I'm back I make one. But it's not very difficult to biuld them, just download the plans from th link in the description box, print them and resize them to the size you need for your plane. Then just build them :)
Brilliant i really enjoyed this. I have an old twinstar 1 that would look good with floats. can you post a PDF anywhere on the net showing float construction and how you mounted them to the aircraft . I know its a lazy option for me but yours obviously work so well. thanks Paul
Yea, it works just great. I placed the floats 1/2 an inch back of its original pisition. That improved the performance once again. It's easyer to fly and doesn't tend to jump on hard touchdowns.
I don't think so. the kids around where about 6 to 10 years of age. I don't think the just go and buy a plane. okay, I got my first plane at my tenth birthday, so maybe they will get one too. Who knows.
But everytime I'm on the field (or lake in this case) I get those reactions. Everybody passing by is looking at the plane and asking questions about that hobby.
is it difficult to land in water what changes

Hi, it is absolutely incredible how the TwinStar operates with the floats. Great!
Maybe I do the same with my TwinStar during wintertime! Thanks for showing it on YouTube and congratulations!
Best regards from Austria/Europe

I bet at least one of those spectators goes on to buy an rc plane after seeing that. Good for the hobby!
