  • bad audio ;)

  • the scene where they running out at sunrise and ceremony was playing just i think made me love that movie even more. this is my favourite song ever.

ian curtis wrote this song, and after he killed himself, it was the first song new order came out with... bit of a fun fact.

  • fav song on marie antoinette .. it was her birthday party.. awesome party! better than the parties now.

  • ...you never did the song by the cure :<

  • i love that nme becouse its my sisters name

  • this song gives me the chills! the good kind! love this movie....

  • This film has such a stunning visual impact along with a superb soundtrack....

  • The visual and auditry imapct of this film is totally stunnung- how under-appreciated !

  • well in fact, i think that the first record of this song ceremony is when Ian Curtis was alive so before new order : Joy Division.

    But anyway ! That's a great song !

  • I grew up with this music, New Order, the Cure, Adam Ant....so the ravishing visual spectacle of the film combined with the soundtrack was double the pleasure.

  • @ParisSpleen74

that must have been lovely intense :O

  • Great song, great movie and that photograph is so lovely :)

  • love

  • Gee, New Order and Gang of Four sure fit this movie well.

  • Exquisite costumes...the work of Milena Canonero the Great!

  • I love that song and the Movie too :))

  • Reese was in Vanity Fair not this movie but they are simiar so I understand why one could confuse them.

  • love love love love this song and the film ,thank you!!

  • I listen to this song everyday! Love it love it love it!

  • absolutely fantastic songs in the movie soundtrack... <3 this film!

  • I agree so much and I love how the soundtrack looks like it went with that period, this was the best movie I have seen in a while. Love the fashion and the music and how it was potrayed (until poor thing got her head cut off) but loved the music. inspired me to wear stuff from that period

  • Favorite movie ever. & amazing song.

  • Elizabethtown, Forrest Gump and Marie Antoinette are my favorite soundtracks I've ever gotten. I recently lost my Marie Antoinette CD so I'm having to buy another (which I don't really mind because it's totally worth the money). I truly can't live without it. Ever since I saw this movie I've become a Marie Antoinette/18th century fanatic. The history is amazing.

  • "Old meets Modern" I love the Movie and the Songs ;D

    Verry verry cool.

  • marie antoinette: best soundtrack ever :)

  • every girl is a princess in her own mind or world. LOL

  • @ryohayashi you haved read a little princess didnt you;)

  • @franssie94 lol no, but its true. thats just the way girls (most girls) are.

  • radiohead covered this, great

  • i love that cover!

  • man all the great momments in life make me want to die its joy, um joy division

  • I love this song. Reminds me of Paris.

  • @dasmysteryman12 totally agree :)

  • what a beutiful song..

  • best chanson il manque la voix de curtis anyway merveilleuse song

  • i really dont think marie antoinette is really that bad or expensive but because of the people of the Palace of Versailles everything for them should be lavish and extravagantly beautiful it made marie antoinette to follow their ways since she was just a young girl back then, easily influenced by others

  • love it fits the movie scene

  • i love this movie so much because of sofia's directing and most of all the soundtrack :) reminds me of summer

  • I dont know why but everytime I hear this song I feel so cold and depressed.

  • The exact opposite happens to me... I feel really warm and relaxed everytime I hear this song o.o

  • its a little melancholy.

  • @pboisei It's a bit meloncholy as the composer of the lyrics (Ian Curtis) was deeply suicidal at the time he wrote it, and killed himself very soon after the song was written.

  • this song is by Joy Division?! They were brilliant coz I mistook it as some new band wonder.

  • ur suicidal fuc ku

  • @thelonepiper555 Well, I think listening to this song makes me want to enjoy life instead of killing myself..

  • @dasmysteryman12 Well, too bad the frontman of Joy Division didn't feel the same when he hanged himself...All the love to you, bro

  • love 80's New Wave...sigh!!

  • BEST SOUNDTRACK

  • i fucking agree its awsome i love new order and adam ant

  • love New Order sooo happy this is posted thanx much.

  • This song is beautiful. I really want to play this song for my 18th birthday!

  • Thank you! What a great visual homage this film is to the Romantic age, You lot could do with a lttle romance and less EMO. Learn the Differance.

  • i knew the song a long time before i've seen the movie.and then i saw the movie...it love this movie...and especially i love this movie with this song!!!

  • <3 marie antoinette

  • love this song

  • <3Marie Antoinette

  • hearing this on the MA Soundtrack made me appreciate Joy Division and New Order even more. that's saying alot. <3 love this song.

  • this song is <3

  • This is one of the few movie soundtracks that i ever bought..i must admit marie antoinette had one of the best movie soundtracks ever..

  • @GetCocky2012 i think so to between resse witherspoon being the star and the modern songs being played in this movie from way back when it really made history tolerable and damn fun one of the best movies i ever seen i loved it to death

  • @justin19822 sorry what? Reese Witherspoon isn't in this movie at all, that's Kirsten Dunst. Dumbass.

  • @robertmooregp well shgit bitch excuess me all to hell.im not about to tell you how much i might have watched this more then you but we all make mistakes i mean what you might just gotten all of what maybe a c- in your last report card jump the fuck off that high horse of yours...

  • @robertmooregp Not to get involved with yur guys' dispute, but I make mistakes all the time with stars' names and their faces...Theres no need to get so upset over it...We all know Kirsten Dunst is the star of 'Marie Antoinette'...Saying she is someone else doesn't change that fact....So letz not get upset...Remember we're all here to listen to the best music used withtin this movie...not to argue over who's name is what? And who starred in what?....;)

  • @TheArizonaGurl Hey, why not just google the cast of this film???

  • @transfoby That actually is a good idea, where were u when those two guys were fighting?....;).....IMDB.com is a good source

  • @TheArizonaGurl I know, I know..I was just kidding

  • @transfoby So was I...;)

  • @GetCocky2012 who sings this song and what's it called?

  • @londongirl2 New Order - Ceremony

  • is this the joy division original?

  • new order.

  • yes, originally written by joy division, but recorded by new order.

  • I dont speak good german either xD! I know what you said though!

  • the 1938 version is terrible and the sparkly dress is horrid

  • really cool picture too!=D

  • i know its so natural isnt it i want to blow it up and frame it on my wall would make a nice picture for the house wouldnt it.

  • Even though I liked the 1938 version better the soundtrack for the 2006 movie is the best!

  • i didnt see this movie up intell a few months ago i didnt even know it was made and i thought it was hella cool the soundtrack makes the movie have much more of a impact the way they play these 80s songs at a party that was from like 50 years ago

  • 50 years. 250 years. same thing.

  • hahaha

i sincerely hope you're not being serious :)

  • the song is ceromony from new order

  • ian curtis music

  • it was after ian curtis, but same band <33

  • It was written by him.

  • love it ^__^

  • hey what song is this??

    i actually love it lol

  • Ceremony-New Order.

    :]

  • omg i love this song! KI also love the movie.

    R.I.P MARIE ANTOINETTE

  • when i hear this song i feel like its friday.

  • This song is my summer song!

  • totally an awesome summer song i listen to it everyday in my car.

  • Magnifique chanson!

Marie Antoinette est un de mes films préférés!

Les décors et les costumes sont magnifiques!

  • this sounds cool.

  • Are you serious? Cause if you are that is the coolest thing!

I love this movie, a lot of people were kind of upset at the more modern music being mixed in but I absolutely love it! It fits very well.

  • me you're talking to?:D

  • Yes you. :D

  • hehe, thanks:D

  • From the end of April to the middle of August, Me and my Friend wear clothing and wigs from the 1780s and have picknicks in the nature among the great trees and the green grass.. aahhh I wear my red or gold coat, and she wears her dresses:D All inspired by this movie and its music^^

  • That is pretty neat!

    -Spencer Wise

  • where do you get them all? cause i want to dress like that for halloween

  • It's very hard to get such clothing(caunting serious cuts)but sometimes you could buy them from operaes or theatres, but these are too expensive for for Halloween. The cut of these clothing are very demanding, particularly for a gown, and a corset is both hard to get and very very very exmpensive. But you could get costumes here and there. They are ugly though:P

My jackets have mostly costed me around 5000$ each, hand crafted. So I suggest too seek the costumes, are you very into this?

    ~Amadé~

  • the best movie, the best soundtrack ever!!!

  • amazing movie!

  • What I loved about the movie was that the music fits it even though the surroundings, costumes etc are so different than the music. Especially the party scenes with Siouxsie and the banshees, New Order etc were brilliant and you didn't think for one second that the music doesn't fit the mood.

  • One of my most favorite New Order songs of all time!

  • Ceremony - New Order

  • can somebody help me?

what's the name of this song?

    thx

  • All you have to do is look at the description.

  • LMFAO wow depecheke not the smartest cookie eh?

  • This music...that film... they are forever in my heart, I have great summer memories of that film... ahhh, dreaming again=)

  • This song makes me so happy. Oh I adore this film!

  • this is totally the best music for a movie like this it is greattt...!!!!!!

  • i love this film....so much!!is this the song at her birthday?thats my fav scene

  • "Let them eat cake." lol :D

  • i love this movie it's so beautiful

  • yeh this song is really beautiful .... i love it ... and it makes me crying as well ... eventhough its not really a typical "sad" song ...

  • this song is ver very very very very very very very beautiful make me crying

  • They said she said ''briose''(that means those little ciocolate cakes with a big bun on their heads)!!!!

  • ekkk my last comment i mean to put wasn't!

  • im glade this movie was a stupid boring historical film cuz who likes that?? i love the colors, music, the feeling of the movie! i cant really see why people be hating on this film.

  • although I like the New Order cover, the original by Joy Division will always be my favorite.

  • E veryone knows if they had that kind of money they would have done the same if not spent more on living a lavish life. Im not saying I wouldnt care for others but I know I wouldnt be living no commoners life back in that time.

  • this was the most amazing motion picture ive ever seen - these colors and the music :D i love sophia coppola

  • Yeah they really did a brill job on the film

  • ohhemgee, yes. my French teacher hated this movie. she said it didn't have that much history in the movie, which i can agree with, but, it is a nice movie. one of my favorites. but this girl said she didn't like it because you don't get to see Marie die. i'm like "wtf? don't you feel sorry for Marie?" I feel so close to these characters. i don't know how. but i just do.

  • yeah i really liked how they ended it it would have had to go on for another hour or so to fit in the whole reign of terro and death bit!

  • the director wanted it to be more of an art kind of movie focusing on her extravagant dresses and her life stle not so much a biograghy.

  • yeah it was more kind of portraying what she was like than what actaully happened, i thought that was very clever

  • i havent seen the movie yet but the song is great =) and i i think im gonna go and watch the movie pretty soon :)

  • watch it! (if u haven't yet) it's awesome

  • This Is A Nice Song! :P Excellent Soundtrack

    New Order - Ceremony

  • i love this scene

  • Franchement pierrumiushi si c'etait pour dire des mechancetés ,Vaut mieux qu'tu la ferme !!

Elle est geniale la chanson !

  • j'adore marie antoinette race que fantastique! je suis pas l'francais je suis ecosse (i can just speak fairly good french!)

  • So, Marie Antoinette never actually said "Let them eat cake". For the record.

  • Right.

  • everlastingwicca is a commie junk head... Whats wrong with helping the poor? At least he/she knew the right periode of time Marie Antoinete leaved in unlike starlv69...

  • Period* lived in* sorry. ;)

  • starlv96 learns his (or her) history from wikipedia.

  • Starl69 : the parent of her are would like a friendhip with france , they never think about society.

  • guessing their plans backfire = causing the french revolution her famous quote "let them eat cake". tragically ending up her and her family 2 b executed by her own pll. wow that's something. Lmao

  • she never said let them eat cake the stories about her being this horrible cruel queen arent true they were made up by frech pampleters becuase they wanted to balme someone and she was a foreigner so the best option

  • your right it was a french reporter who said it and it was wasn't cake it some kind of sweet bun

  • yeah, the french reporters were just looking for someone o blame she really wasnt a bad persn

  • i love this song sooo much

  • what's the name of the song?

  • Ceremony

  • Love it! I also really like the picture and don't mind staring at it for four minutes =)

  • haha wtf...that was boring as hell...good song though

  • God I am so glad Paris is not ruling the country

  • she was just a teenager and given a ton of power and people expected her to be perfect.

  • i like this song. thanks, umm, maybe you should have gotten a montage to suit the song insted of a dull still

  • she had the most tragic life ever , and people dont even realize it. -_-

  • I don't feel sorry for her one little bit. She had everything handed to her on a plate her whole life and never gave a fuck about anyone else. Head in a basket - Right whack.

  • she was forced into that life she HAD to marry him there are just some people who were not meant to be royalty she wasn't evil or a spoiled brat or anything...

  • I kinda agree but at the same time she was taken away from everything she had at a young age and was a scapegoat for France's problems.

  • Well, if you read an actual biography of her life you'd find she did a lot of charity work and was much more concerned with the well-being of "commoners" than the rest of the nobility. She was in a nearly impossible position.

  • Sorry, that was supposed to be a reply to an earlier post and it ended up on top.

  • yeah i no it's totally true she did A LOT and i mean a lot of good things and her spending was like a drop in the ocean compared to france's other spending

  • thanks! i love your screen name, BTW. :) tonks was one of my favorites.

  • than

anx she was one my my favourites too! i lyk your scren ame 2 i lyk the names scralett

  • WTF are you talking about!? I hope you realize A) it was just a movie and B) She was a queen who partied while others STARVED TO DEATH! ARE YOU INSANE!?

  • one of my fave songs from the movie!

  • <3 omg new order!

  • Poor Marie Antoinette behind all that extravagance lifestyle she use to have. Deep inside of her there is a alone, lost, confused, naive child who is waiting for someone to rescue her.

  • Yeah I know. And she was surrounded by thousands of fake people that she
