The saxo vts and 106 gti is just awesome machines, too bad they never sold them on the swedish market ;-(

I´m stuck with the 306 gti, but its a nice machine too, i love the 6 speed gearbox.

i dragged a porsche cayenne S in my saxo VSX and matched his 0-60, he started pulling away pretty soon after though - my saxy does 0-60 in about 6.5 seconds but it aint exactly stock :)

jup, 106 gti or saxo vts are quick from 0-60 but then in higher speed the 306 gti got more torque and his gearbox got the upper hand.

Most 106 gti`s or saxo vts has standard more hp then they give it (120hp). i own a 106 gti, did dino run with stock engine and got around 132 hp on front wheels.

this is weird... 1.6 16v VTS vs a 2.0 16V GTi 6. The saxo is slightly lighter, but putting out no more than 120bph, where the gti-6 is putting out well over 150 and has a close ration 6 speed box? I think maybe something to do with driver?

nope. vts are just rapid little motors, has a close ratio gear box and is considerably lighter hence pulling away from start. beyond 80 a gti 6 would eat a vts

okay, its wuite a bit lighter, but at the end of the day, the GTi6 has 140Hp per tonne and the vts has 120 HP per tonne.

this is an interesting race. i own a 106 gti (same as a vts) and i was wondering how it would compare 2 a 306 gti. looks like the vts is quicker 0-60 but after that, the more powerful 306 overtakes

306 is miles ahead of the saxo in terms of build quality styling comfort etc they share similair engines though the gti and vts are simalair 0-60 but 0-100 306 is better i have a 306 dturbo but in a year i want a 306 gti...long live the 306

really im 19 its my forth car and its 750 a year the dturbo and 1.6 power wise are very similair :) you can remap a hdi though to near a gti6 power :)

most you get off a remapped hdi is 120hp

with an intercooler 150hp is easily possible

you can get bigger turbos and a piper camas well but you need bigger injectors to go with that and they are hard to come by

but ultimately the git6 would be the quicker car cause it has the revs and the correct gearing.

I love diesel's got a 1.9dt myself but even if I spend loads of money on it, it still ain't going to out perform the "6"

talking from a mechanical point of view, a saxo is a dogs dinner. from a youngboys point of view, i can see the appeal as there is nothing else nowadays, but they arent a good car mechanically. i have a 22 yearold scirocco GT (1.8 90 bhp) and it makes a saxo VTS look like a dogs arse. thats appauling considering a saxo is supposed to be a modern pocket rocket, getting beat buy an old car that was only ever considered average

Evet normal sonuç saxo vts hafif olmasının avantajı ile 1.6 120 hp güç üreten motoru ile(motor modifiyesi yoksa) kafa çıkartıyor muhtemelen 2 vitesin bitiminde 306 gti 2.0 167 hp güç üreten motoru ile onu yakalayıp geçiyor normal sonuç

Assuming they're standard I think the VTS did bloody well. Its only got a 1.6 16v with 120bhp, the 306 has a 2.0 16v with 167bhp and at low speed the saxo scooted off and had the pug til high speeds. well done saxo.
