Have you heard of freecycle (on the 'net) for your stuff that doesn't sell so quickly? (You sound like a disciple of "The Story of Stuff" book & website. :)

I couldn't live in this house, it's WAY too messy. I wouldn't need the TV, DVD player, etc. But the guy is a good example.

I have considered doing this before. How long does it usually take items to sell? Do you ever run out of storage for items? Have you ever had something take too long to sell and had to find another way to get rid of it? Do you spend much time trying to repair things that you later find cannot be properly repaired?

Stuff can take anywhere from a few hours to months to sell, depending how specialized the item is and how much I price it for, but if I list it for free, its usually gone in a day.

I have almost no room for storage, so I end up giving a lot away for free.

I don't spend "a lot" of time repairing things, but I do make small/simple repairs if it makes the item more useful for someone
